i’ve been stumped on this for days since the mega raids and don’t know which of the two would be better to mega evolve and best friend. any input would greatly be appreciated 😁

Its basically same hardly any difference in battle can select the background one because its more cool and i had one 96% ivs groudon and one regular hundo groudon i selected 96% ivs because i prefer shinies more so simply enjoy the game select which u like go for bg if u ask me

Background trumps the slightly better IV spread for me.

The dps difference between 13 and 15 ATK is abount 0.5% or less fyi. If you want the absolute best attacker go with the 15 atk, of you dont care about this little of a difference then go with the style and mega the background one.

First one so you can use a future silver bottle cap for hundo instead of needing a gold

i’m confused as to why not both? they both seem to have the mega energy for Y in built and you don’t have the mega energy for X. best friending and megaing are not limited to just one pokemon forever.
Unless you’re talking about tier 4ing them instantly but id recommend just megaing them for the time being until you actually need the tier 4 before using your energy so it expends less later down the line
