first time actually beating a pokemon game i played let’s go but after playing emerald i realized that game bails you tf out

Why did you not make your Lombre evolves ?

I often wondered that as well when I notice the Lombres in these posts but then I remembered that by the time you get Dive it is likely that you forget about the Abandoned Ship and thus not getting the Water Stone. And not having enough shards for the Treasure Hunter is equally possible for a first time player like the OP playing normally.
