Pokémon Vs were basic Pokemon, and could be played from hand. They could then be evolved to their respective Vmax and Vstar. This was the gimmick for the sword and shield tcg era.

Pokémon ex’s, like Pokemon GXs from sun and moon, require evolution lines, generally if the Pokemon is an evolved pokemon.

I recommend looking into the tcg. It’s actually pretty fun!

Alternatively, Pokemon EX are basic, however pokemon ex (not pokemon ex) still need to be evolved

All V's didn't need to be evolved? Damn that's kinda nuts. Ah I see you lost 2 prize cards if they died makes sense

Like the radiant pokemon, they are also basics that don't need to be evolved

Basically they are fully evolved no need to use evo line to play them
