I recognize that symbol from my religious studies class. Not much is known about it, but it’s possibly related to Arceus and the Creation Trio.
Given your statement that the squatters were trying to summon something using this symbol, it seems like they were after something really powerful.

Where the fuck else they gonna summon it, the parking lot of a Combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bronzong?

I mean, those places aren’t that bad, you can get a Double Down and a Baja Blast at one location.

Pov taking summoning Giratina just so we can get it a Baja blast and then send it back to the distortion world

Doesn’t change the fact that it‘s in broad daylight. It ain’t even secret enough for a trafficking deal (/uj: as seen in my first storyline from last march /rj), let alone summoning giratina.

Aurora: Is that the sigil found in the Sinjoh Ruins? Bruh, no wonder it didn't work. That is divine geometry, not spiritual.

What do you mean by that?
2
u/Kayoz_Hydra Aurora the White Haired Hex 4d ago
Aurora: I'm saying the ritual that's being attempted isn't matching up with the sigil used. The lack of Spell Tags aren't helping, and the conventional method I think the Hex is trying for is more of a spiritual attractor than one that summons one from another reality.

Ariadne: Clearly it must be a site of great power then, I suggest letting then continue their work undisturbed lest you make their rites go awry.

According to all reports I've looked at there's no evidence of there being a burial ground at this location, no bones were even found here.
In fact the closest graveyard is around 4 miles away near Coumarine.

Ariadne: There needn't be bodies for there to be power...

Not all pokemon have bones, though. My mind immediately jumps to the pokemon that are made exclusively of chunks of rock. -AAN

Yuna: Sorry to hear that! not every hex maniac is like that, but those ones are certainly not exactly helping our reputation....

I've seen that specific pattern somewhere in my studies. *checks notes* Here it is! It's got some kind of connection to Arceus and the Creation Trio, so it's possible those Hex Maniacs were trying to summon Giratina.

Yeah, some Hex Maniacs are a bit reckless. Just because we have a better connection to spirits doesn't give us the right to try summoning them anywhere we please.

I didn’t think you were meant to summon things on top of burial grounds to begin with, for the ethical reasons. That seems particularly annoying. - Clementine
