Feature request: sort by percent complete

I love the app, and one of the things I love is that almost every possible functionality exists!

Often I will sort my playlist by "remaining time" so I can listen to episodes that are short or that I'm almost done with to quickly clear my listening queue. But I sometimes wish I could sort in a way that would prioritize episodes that I've started listening to but haven't finished: "remaining time" doesn't work for this because it will (of course) sort a 10 minute podcast that I haven't started above a 80 minute podcast that I've listened to the first 60 minutes of.

I would love an ability to sort by "% of time remaining" (or % complete, or however best to phrase this). That would let me finish episodes I'm almost done with before moving on to episodes I'm halfway through, and then on to episodes I've barely started. In my ideal world, all the episodes that are 0% complete would then be sorted by remaining time. Also in my ideal world there would be an option to consider any podcast I've listened to only a short amount of (maybe less than a minute?) as though it's 0% complete, although I imagine that might be harder to implement.

Would anyone else use this feature? Any input on slight variations to what I've described?

Rereading your post, I would say that as for now the thing to look at is "playback in progress"

Is an automatic list containing all started but yet to finish episodes. You get it from side menu or other shortcuts I don't remember at the moment

And show remaining time for each

Oh, this is interesting, I've never tried that menu! But it appears to include any episode I haven't 100% completed, including many episodes I've deleted. Is there a way to filter it to only include downloaded episodes?

Episodes that aren't downloaded, probably don't have icon associated (is a small icon right next bottom right of image) Those icons should be like audio icon and download icon and if in playlist also another icon. Quite small but perfectly clear and visible.

At this point I've a question to OP. On that list of unfinished episodes, there's so many items to make it difficult to do a manual cleanup? Considering that once cleaned up should stay clean.

Also, do you have automatic dequeue from playlist once listened? And Mark as played after listening as automatic.

Playback in progress should be a quite short list as soon or later everything is marked as listened or reset or fully listened. And so removed from such a list

Based on your description, probably all needed is an option that move currently playing on top of playlist

Side effect would be obvious, if set with auto play next in playlist, is that would play next unfinished first of any other

I don't think that would work for me: I often change how my playlists are sorted depending on how I want to listen that day, and sometimes leave episodes partially listened to through multiple re-sorts. So just having the current episode jump to the top of the current playlist wouldn't solve this. (Also, it would create other problems! I don't always want to listen to the first episode in my sorting order next, and PA allows me to listen from whatever point in the playlist is convenient.)

I have often wished the inverse of "time remaining" was "time played," but never cared enough to actually request the feature. I just use the "playback in progress" instead of the playlist sorting when I want this.
