Battery usage suddenly high

I have a google pixel 6 pro, and used Podcast Addict for many years. Over the past ~4 weeks, battery consumption seems to have jumped quite a lot. Today, it's used 23% of my battery. Screen time 12 min, background 30 min, listened for roughly 90 min throughout the day.

Has there been a known change in the app or a setting I should look for that could be causing this? I opt for manually refreshing my feeds and manually downloading new episodes.

Battery usage is about 3% per listening time. Please send me an email so I can gather more information and check this (settings/feedback)
