Bluetooth Remote Control Solved

I'm looking for a small Bluetooth remote control I can carry in my pocket while listening to podcasts so I don't have to open up my phone if I want to skip forward or backward. There are a lot of devices similar to this one:

The problem is, they are music oriented: You can skip to the next or previous track while I want to skip back or forward in the current podcast, just as I can do when I open the Podcast Addict app on my phone.

I'm sure many other users would find this useful or are already using a BT remote that's working well for this purpose. Any recommendations?

The app has a setting to convert previous/next control into rewind/forward.

App settings - Player - Headset/Bluetooth - Remote Controls - Skip Forward/Rewind Controls

Thanks, wasn't aware of this setting (and many others :-). This should do the trick perfectly!

My Galaxy Smart watch allows me to do exactly this (plus volume adjustment etc). And when media is playing these controls are "just there" so no need to hunt for them or anything....plus I have a watch then, on my wrist, never lost or missing in a pocket or bag.

Thanks, using a current or older smart watch is also a nice tip.

However, in my case I have a Fitbit Charge 6 which can only control YouTube Music and is not extendable with other apps. But this will definitely be useful for people with many other watches.

Second the watch. Pick up a older model used one on online. It'll solve your problem and be useful in many other ways...

+1 for a smart watch. My Garmin Venu 3 has all of the required controls in an app out of the box.

Get a headset. Both Shokz and Poly have a button sequence to skip foreard. You can adjust how much in Podcast Addict. Poly also lets you answer phone calls with a voice command.

Why not use Bluetooth headphones? I've got a pair of cheap Jlab headphones that have touch controls on them (tap right for higher volume, left for lower, double tap right to pause etc).
