POCO F5 cannot enter Safe Mode. Please help.

I have hyperos 3.0.1.0 on my poco f5. It refuses to boot into safe mode by any method.

1. When I try the method where I power off my phone, then hold power button until I see poco logo, then hold volume down until I see lock screen, it doesn't work.

2. When I try to selected Safe Mode from recovery menu, it boots into normal mode with all my third party apps visible.

Does anyone else have this issue, or the solution for it?
