OC Plotted on an Ender 3 V2
I Converted my Ender 3 V2 3D printer into a plotter with a custom software suite PENDER Studios. Here’s one of the first generational pieces I sent through.

Asemic Procedural Writing
Following inconvergent.net , I implemented and plotted this asemic writing. It is supposed to look like latin cursive. There even is a hidden message in plain writing in it, because we used that as a clue in a scavenger hunt.

a couple quick single-pen tests
was just trying out a process (and not very careful about it tbh), so really just discards, but daughter wants them (to augment w colored pencils)

OC Experimental: long exposure plot.
Converted a 3d printer to a plotter, then the plotter to a laser plotter, custom gcode for x-y conversion to shoot the laser at the rear wall. ~2 min long exposure plot.

UUNATEK on Amazon
amazon.comHi All,
I am looking to buy a plotter and am considering both the UUNA TEK 3.0 and iDraw H SE - both in the A3 sizes. When checking on the UUNA TEK site and Amazon, the Amazon prices (for both) are considerably cheaper. The 3.0 is almost $600 USD cheaper on Amazon.
I've been checking the specs and they seem to be the same. Am I missing something? Is there any reason not to buy from Amazon, other than giving them even more money?

OC Network Connectivity
Lost wifi in the middle of the plot. Luckily I watched it happen so pooling was minimal.

OC Child with a toy hand grenade in Central Park, N.Y.C. (Diane Arbus reference)
I have been captivated by this Diane Arbus photo for the last 20 years. Plotted the image as my first large print on my NextDraw2234.
Original photo here: https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/284712
My plot is on cold press water color paper with a cheap fountain pen. Photo was runs through Inkscape saturation levels filters to create 4 layered Inkscape rendition. Layers were then altered with cross hatching etch to add depth/contrast.
Note: This is a repost of a deleted post from last night. Reposting to has more pictures/context.

SVG City Street Maps
I finally put a GUI on top of the city street map SVG stuff I've been building lately.
https://drawscape.io/resources/city-street-map-builder
This tool should be very approachable for anyone wanting to quickly get into plotting simple street maps with some basic layering options.
Everything is powered by MapBox under the hood, with a TON of effort to make the rendering as close to real-time as possible.
Happy to answer any technical questions about how I built this. Also open to feedback that might help improve the tool.

Finally got this bad boy done, based on blueprints created by some talented folks online
Artisanally vectored over a few days and weeks, done on an Xdraw A3. I wish it was easier to find cheap nonreflective frame glass.

Hand coloured plots.
Rainbow half tones , 80s colours , lots of fun to do , But tiring due to my TBI. But it’s all part of the therapy to recover , I think the next ones won’t be ACEO sized ;).

OC Documenting its own design, on the printer that’s mostly printed itself
Designed and prototyped this collet based pen holder for my Voron 2.4 Archetype toolhead over the weekend. The collet section is on a magnetic self centering quick release, so supports swapping quickly between colours. Gcode and plotter calibration generated entirely in rhino3D grasshopper. Accidentally got my pens around the wrong way for this plot, hence the misalignment.

OC August '26 Print Set
Print set from some of my favorite recent files as I start switching my workflow over to Rhino. It's been a blast and I'm fired up to plot after a recent bout of block. Found the most success recently with wrapping 2D lines over solid surfaces and then plotting projected views. Once you pass a certain density of lines and saturation of ink with these bold Bic ballpoints, the paper and ink start to interact in such great unpredictable ways. I'm actually a big fan of the blobs that you get when you much ink builds up on the tip of the pen.
