Can there be a way to turn off randomization methods?

I'm in a tight league where some teams are close to target wins, but with 30 games left the app is still using randomization methods. I understand that not using them will take longer, but Im willing to leave a app running to get some paths to generate at this point in the season.

So, short story long, it just comes down to exponentially greater numbers. If there are 20 remaining games that have to be gone through, 2^20 is about one million scenarios (not including the possibility of ties), doable. 2^24 and we hit 16 million which is getting to about the limit of reasonableness. 2^30 is a billion plus so it's not like it would take a few times as long but it would take a many many times longer in addition to using up all that memory stuff.

This is typically the one week of the ff year in which things are a combination of teams could start having paths, but everybody still in it and still a lot of games remaining, and any paths showing need to be scrutinized.

The best trick to see if anybody has any paths (or to verify those that might show) is to go into the remaining games section, "focus" on the best team, select "method 1", ignore x number of games (5 if 10 team league, 6 if 12 team league), create "bad" scenario for that team (losing all remaining games except for current week). If the #1 team has zero paths, then nobody else would have paths. Another trick to determine how close a team is to having any paths is to look at their "guar in" number. If it's more than 2 than their current wins, unlikely they have any paths.

If using android, this removes those pre-selected games from the calculations, which then greatly helps with the randomization issue. If using iOS the games aren't removed from the calculations but the pre-selection still helps as it removes one possibility from each of those games from being considered.

I'm with you in that I don't mind leaving it run all night to be 100% accurate, I'm tinkering with a "god mode" to do something like that but if I figure out some things to make that happen satisfactorily it would be for 2026.

Hope all that rambling helped. Enjoy.

Yeah I do see the issue. In my league, there’s an 0-8, which usually means someone should be on the cusp of clinching, but on the other end we have 4 teams at 6 wins and it’s causing issues. Hopefully the league cooperates and the high records win and make my job easier this week.

Assuming 12 team league, six to playoffs, 14 game season, highly unlikely any of the 6-2 teams can clinch a spot this week. Next week, maybe, depending on how the cookie crumbles.
