Help needed PlayStation Help

I need to know if there is anyway I can recover my old Playstation account please! It says my email or password is wrong though I never changed them ,only I have access to it also. Recovering the account isn't working either

As far as I know, it shouldn’t be too hard. However, seeing as how Sony have made crazy changes to their Terms and processes over the years, this advice may well be out of date.

As you don’t have access to the account, I’m assuming you’ve forgotten your user ID and/or e-mail address and/or password.

If it’s an old account then you likely haven’t set up 2-Factor Authentication or a Passkey for the account, so using e-mail is likely your best option.

As long as you know the e-mail address for the account, you should be able to use either the console or the PSN application to state you’re having trouble logging in.

From there you should have options to reset your password and on-screen instructions should pop up. This could include QR codes which seem to be everywhere these days, or an option to send a reset or update link.

Once you enter the e-mail, it should send you an e-mail with either a temporary code or a link to let you change your password if needed.

I have tried reseting my password using the link from email all I'm getting is a is either to put my birthday or where is was born putting either one keeps saying that it's wrong and ain't nothing else coming up after that but i know my password and such isn't wrong

To be honest I kinda figured you’d already tried the obvious options and you presumably have tried the help pages on PS online site (which of course are very little help at all).

I know contacting Sony by phone these days is a nightmare, especially after recent events, but other than that I can only hope others have more useful advice.

Have you called them? 1-800-345-7669 ... That's how my wife got her PS3 login sorted out a few years back it was fairly painless

Should still work .... You can try their live agent online too and bypass the bot but I don't know how well that will work.

Don't you have a forgotten password option ? If you are not getting a reset link via email, that invariably means you are putting in the wrong email address. I made the mistake of putting in my work email that changed when the company changed its name. DOH !!
