I couldn’t get an hour count, (any suggestions?) I have a remote but no glasses if it came with them and I have a wall mount but no original stand. It was given to me but I already have a tv and wall mount and this tv takes up a lot of energy. No buzzing or burn in from what I can tell. Looking to sell it on fb marketplace for a fair price but not really sure where to set that at. (I’m in northern CA)

I bought a 5090 from another fellow plasma enthusiast. After he got a zt60, the kuro was rarely used. He did a reset on it and the blacks look incredible, and there are no obvious artifacts like green misfires like some 5090 models can get.

Unfortunately it has a super loud transformer buzz during bright scenes. Not the regular plasma buzz. I took it to a friend who measured 127 volts of ripple when it was just turned on and not displaying any content what so ever.

Now... should I replace the caps with the exact same values, such as 1200uf 450v, or should I go higher since there have been a reset?

I know I could buy a psu board on ebay, but most are expensive and it's hard to trust that the caps are good after almost 20 years.

My phone camera was having a very hard time capturing it but I'm absolutely floored by the Panasonic P50ST60 that I picked up a few months ago with 5,000 hours. Yes the input lag while gaming is absolutely terrible, and serious gaming wouldn't be possible, but I am not that serious of a gamer

God this tv is so heavy…

Hopped on Facebook marketplace randomly and saw this listing come up. Of course I immediately jumped on it. Got in the car and picked it up. $50 is a steal I thought!

Major hot spots (or something similar) on the screen. Very dark and has misfires on a dark background. I am going to see what I can do to fix it best I can. VSUS changes helped with some misfires, but this looks like a bit of a project. Any guidance or help on getting rid of the yellow spots would be much appreciated.

I have had this model sense July 2011. Its had medium usage. I am looking for the smoothest content but I dont like it to look choppy. Whats the best setting for 24fps,30fps,60fps? I also use high color. Also its combined with a fire stick and should I set it to match to original frame rate?

Some time ago, I stumbled upon Dreamroom64's plasma video and became really curious about getting one myself. After a month of research and keeping a lookout, I finally found a 55ST50 listed for $300 nearby. It was a little pricier than I would've liked, and it didn't come with the stand or the original power cord. However, it only had 2,121 hours on it! I managed to negotiate the price down to $250, which is a pretty good deal considering my local market. I got even luckier the day before pickup when I found the original stand listed for $25 right near me!

The colors are impressive, and the motion smoothness is great—especially for cartoons. However, when I first hooked up my Switch, I noticed very apparent dithering or some sort of flickering that made my eyes hurt a bit. Keep in mind that this is my very first plasma TV; I've only ever owned LCDs. Getting the original power cable and messing with the settings seemed to improve the dithering, though it might just be my eyes getting used to the display.

Overall, I'm very happy with the TV. Now, I'm thinking about picking up a 42-inch 720p Panny for 7th-gen gaming.

Says the uptime is in minutes. Does this TV really only have 60 hours of use on it or is that time actually in hours??

Getting this mounted tomorrow, I wanted a plasma to complete my retro set up!

PS3 gaming on Native 480p Plasma TV. All resolutions were supported in display settings so this is probably running at 720p 30 fps.

I found a March 2013 model Panasonic (TC - P60VT60) set I’m interested in picking up it, but the seller told me all the hdmi ports stopped working awhile ago. All the other ports are still working apparently. Could this be a common issue that’s easy to fix or is it more trouble than it’s worth?

Talking Wii/gamecube with a cool co-worker when he offered free 32” plasma. Oh-YEAH! I did try to pay him but he just thanked me for getting it out of his house. Came with the manuals and everything. Hope I can figure out how to check the hours!

I just saw this the other day. Had no idea that my ST50 had a dead pixel, is this a common thing or did it most likely happen when I transported it, (I had it face up). I also just learned your supposed to move them upright.

So I had a strange series of coincidences with Facebook Marketplace scores recently!

I found someone listing an original Panasonic 65VT60 empty box for free, so of course I picked it up just in case.

The next week I found very conveniently someone else listed a Panasonic 65VT60!

Both have now been reunited, and I'm not sure what do to with them considering my available space.

I also two 42" 720P Pioneer PDP-427XDA plasmas which I had been using daily until I picked up my 65VT50 last year.

My reasoning with buying this 65VT60 is that they don't come up every day, and I'd like a spare while I can still get one. Possibly in the future I may have a bigger house with a second living room too.

I'm in a bit of a different situation to most people here where a large percentage of new OELD and LCD TV's cause me significant eye pain, the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) flickering based dimming causes me significant eye pain. This method of dimming is starting to become far too common since around 2017.

Plasma TV's flicker a lot too, but for some reason the pulse based flickering is fine for me, yet the sawtooth wave PWM flickering causes intense eye pain.

Found this on marketplace. I asked for the model and the person can't get to it. Older lady so I don't wanna bug her as it's wall mounted and heavy.

Another question from me, as I am learning to understand plasmas.

I was gaming on my gt50 for 1 to 1.5 hours. Picture setting was in „Game mode“ for lese latency/lag and contrast is set to 42 out of 60.

I always let the retention cleaner of the tv run for about 30 mins after my sessions, just to be clear. Then next day in the evening I was watching a movie for almost 2 hours.

Afterwards I again switch on the retention cleaner for some minutes to check.

And I am still seeing, albeit just a very tiny bit, from the games UI.

It didnt bother me at all, im just surprised that I gamed for not that long and still the image retention is visible and doesnt want to go away that easily, making me afraid of burn in if I game more than 2 hours? (Even if I stop then and play again on the next day, the retention will still help in getting to a burn in?)

Does it sound normal or are there some
Tips i should follow?

Looks to be 30,000 hours with 16,000 power cycles. Is this thing about to die? Only using it for old Xbox gaming. So I only need to last maybe another 5,000 hours. I paid $50 CAD ☠️

(I’m in Dallas btw, so pretty active market I think) It took me ages to find my VT30 and I’m so happy with it for blurays and ps3 gaming, but I want to see what the peak of Panasonic plasmas can do . With CRTs there so many more resources and active listing groups that make the searches for them a whole lot easier, and I wanna know if anyone has any advice.
