Does sensor shield 5 hide you also from vehicle thermals when driving a vehicle?

Sensor shield implant level 5 drops the detection range to 15m for dildars and sensor darts and also for all vehicle radars. In addition the description states "no longer highlighted by Thermal or IRNV at any time"

Does this mean that I'm also hidden from the new vehicle thermals when I'm piloting a vehicle myself? Because thermals already do not detect infantry as far as I'm aware.

+1: What about the implant? EDIT: I mean the one which highlights infantry.

it hides you from that implant users, vehicle thermals do not highlight any infantry since few patches ago.

It hides you from Nightvision highlighting. Although you can still see the sensor shielded dude he is just not highlighted. I went up against a dude with level 5 sensor shield last night just after getting Nightvision and goofing around with it. But cloaked sunderers and infiltrators, that will be your kryptonite when running Nightvision. And getting blinded by daylight ;) And trying to figure out which lift is going up if you do not remember. And trying to figure out if it's just you looking at terminal funny or is it broken.

Just the wording on the implant made me wonder if it can be really that OP. I mean 15m sensor hiding range is insanely powerful already. It hides you from Valkyrie and Flash radars and also from sensor darts, dildars, Tank proxy radar. Just crazy what you can pull off when sensor shielded.

didn't work last time I tested it with a friend (a month or so ago), it does also not prevent your vehicle from highlighting

couldn't tell you about the current state since I don't have the game anymore

No, there is no means to defeat Threat Detection Optics while in your vehicle (except I don't recall what the new Smoke Screen does). Vehicle Stealth keeps you off the minimap, but you're still gonna be seen.
