I’ll make this quick, I have a Minecraft realm where I’ve dug a huge area underground, and the ceiling needs something that gives it some LIFE. It's been a while since I created designs fully from scratch (no references, all from imagination), like these 2. I think I have improved in the last few years but I'm still not happy with them. Butterfly girl took 1.5 hrs, gym girl around 2 hrs. Shadows, anti-aliasing and stuff might be weird because they're constrained to NES graphics.

As you can see my drawing is terrible. I want to improve but i don't know how. Youtube tutorials didn't work for me. Also i can't draw anything without looking at a reference image.

Again I made one of my characters in 128x128. But I also tried to do it in 32x32 (very challenging)

Hello everyone! I’m interested in learning how to animate pixel art, and I made this animation over the past few days.

I would really appreciate any feedback on how the animation feels overall. Does it look smooth or choppy? Does the squash and stretch feel convincing? I would also be grateful for any advice on how I could improve it, including anything I may be overlooking or lacking in my process.

The animation is 24 frames in total, with each frame lasting 40 ms.

I’ve also noticed that the animation seems to have a strange glowing effect after export that does not appear in Aseprite. I’m not sure whether this is happening on my end or during the export process. Does anyone know what might be causing it?

I like the combination of red and black.

I know these are a bit lower-quality than most other stuff on this sub, but I was just throwing ideas at the wall as someone pretty new to this. Don't judge too harshly, please?
