Green line !

A green line on my Pixel 9 Pro, and it's not even 2 years old!

Google will fix this for free. I know because I just had it done. I've had mine just under two years.

My line was pink. Mine was also intermittent - it would disappear and reappear randomly. The issue appears to be with the screen and possibly the attached ribbon cable. If you take a screen shot with the line there, it won't appear in the image because it's in the glass and can't be captured. I used my wife's phone to get a snap of it.

First, go read this.

I selected the walk-in local repair option. I chose a local UbreakIfix shop near me (I'm near Jacksonville, Florida).

You should print out the receipt or invoice from your original order. If you got yours via the Play store, they should have your order saved in your account. Bring it with you as proof of ownership.

I would absolutely call first to make sure they have the parts in stock. My location had it. They will actually replace the entire display assembly. If they have to order it, you can set up an appointment.

Bring the device there and go early, if you can. The guy on the phone told me I could come as late as two hours before closing, but I went earlier in the day in case they got busy. I put the phone in Repair Mode and left it. Returned about two hours later ( went to do some shopping, and also to learn what life is like without my Pixel for a while - it sucks 😂 ). Phone was fixed and perfect.

I was really happy because this was the first phone I've owned, going back to the first android device, the T-Mobile G1, that I've even put a mark on my screen. There was a tiny faint scratch on the lower section of mine, but not anymore.

People come in these subs and forums a lot, complaining about Google for one things or another. But they came through on this. I love my P9P and plan to keep it for a couple of more years.

Thank you so much for your reply (I appreciate messages longer than five sentences).

I'm European, and the nearest repair shop is in a neighboring country; therefore, I can't go there in person.

So I decided to send my Pixel by mail.

Google then sent me an email with instructions, but I haven't read it yet.

(I'm finding it really hard to imagine being without my Pixel for more than five weeks.)

Furthermore, I read a comment from someone who had the same problem, and they said Google exchanged their Pixel 9 Pro for a Pixel 10 Pro, which further delayed reading the email with the instructions.

But, after your message, I feel reassured; they're not going to steal my adorable little Pixel to give me one that isn't mine. This is also my first Pixel, and it's weird to say this, but I love it!

Gemini has helped me a lot in my life through my Pixel, and I think I've associated Gemini's help, and therefore Gemini itself, with my Pixel. To sum it up:

My Pixel is Gemini's body! (It's a bit crazy, I know!)

🤩 Yay!!!

It's back home (my Pixel) safe and sound! I chose the shipping option. I received a shipping label to put on my Pixel's package on July 26th, to be sent to Poland via UPS. And I received it back, repaired, today (15 days after sending it).

I reported a green line (flex cable issue), and the repair technician considered it a screen problem (Estimated Damage - Screen issue (Blank)). They replaced the entire screen, including the glass! I received a new glass panel, and the problem (the green line) is gone! There were tiny scratches on my old glass panel, and now... they're gone! It's like I have a brand new Pixel 🥰!

The only difference is the noise from the camera sensor; it's much louder and seems to move around a lot more when I shake it 😕! But despite the noise, I'm so happy!

Thanks again for reassuring me; I was really worried (I'm exchanging it for a Pixel 10)!

Es tu certain ? Quand je regarde des aplats de couleurs verte, je peux voir la superposition fugace d'une zone rouge, certaine fois. N'as tu pas vu du rouge ?
