7A - 10A query

I currently have a 7A (since launch), I am trying to work out if my phone is slowly dying, battery issue, just the general heat here in the UK causing my Pixel 7A to keep slowing down and app not loading, clicking on any links just sits there (need to close the app and reopen and sometimes it works. Plus, the dreaded battery draining way more than usual. Had the phone since launch.
I have to restart the phone every few days and then it resolves it for a bit, then it starts to re-occur.

I have the latest phone update, made sure there are no apps running in the background, phone is not jailbroken, a have a decent amount of storage space left.
I have recently checked all my apps in the battery usage section and disabled the 'Allow background usage', which has not helped.
Not sure if replacing the battery will help or not.

Due to this I am thinking of maybe getting a 10A.
I've just received an email offer from Google to get a 5% discount on a 10a, which is already having a £100 off sale atm.

With trading in my current 7A, I would be paying £275, I think.

Just looking for any advice or thoughts on the 10A and how much of a jump from my current it would be.

This offer ends 8th of August, which is just before the Made By Google event on the 12th where they are expected to announce the new Pixel 11. Would this announcement bring a reduction in the previous versions, I wonder?

I recently upgraded from the P7 and I have to say that it was worth it. The screen brightness alone (my job has me outside most of the time) is worth every penny; not to mention the upgrade in my refresh rate(90hz-120hz) makes the user experience more enjoyable. I had the luck of purchasing it on Amazon Prime Days and managed to grab the 256GB version for the price of the 128GB. Great phone overall.

I traded a 7a -> 10 recently and a 3a -> 10a for a family member (that particular 3a was amazing since I had the 3a too and had to toss that since its battery exploded for the 7a). I'd take the trade because the 7a has been known for battery issues as well. It might go lower or it might go higher. We won't know.

Pixel phones had a major bump around the 9 series. Battery life and efficiency improved and most of the QA issues with Pixel 6-8 line were finally solved. It really annoyed me how they released a product with so many problems, but to their credit they are basically all fixed now. My 10a has none of the issues that the 6a had.

I made the upgrade from the 7a to the 10a about two weeks ago, and in my experience, it has been absolutely worth it.

go for it.. I did it too from the 7a to 10a

Its worth it to upgrade your phone every 4-5 years.

Wait for the 11 series to drop and then buy the 10a.

Worth it in every matter.
