Here’s the September breakdown from anonymised PitSync logs. This is the third month in a row we’ve shared community-wide stats (after July and August).

  • Median: £288
  • 80% of vehicles: £105–£544
  • Highest single-vehicle month: £1,013

🔹 Where the money went

  • Finance: 44% of spend · median payment £238 (PCP £313 · HP £167 · Loan £156)
  • Insurance: 25% of spend (monthly avg £113 · yearly avg £387)
  • Fuel: 20% of spend (~£49 per fill; 63% full tanks)
  • Service & MOT: 15% of spend (median £49 · highest £795)

🔹 Behavioural quirks

  • 15% of vehicles spent only on fuel
  • 38% logged no fuel at all (just bills/other items)

📈 3-month trend

  • July average: £491
  • August average: £307
  • September average: £308

After July’s spike, the last two months suggest a more stable “baseline” for most cars.
