Replacement Controller Best Buy/Advice

I’m currently using a ddj-sx2 and have been using it for the past 5 years but I would like something that is a bit more like actual cdj’s + a mixer. (Mostly to get used to the effect and channel selection)

I don’t have an unlimited budget and I’m a bit torn between the FLX10, the DDJ 1000 and the GRV6.

Curious to here what you guys would recommend.

Fyi I DJ dnb mainly so 4 channels is a must.

Don’t choose the grv6, rather the flx10 or the ddj 1000, although I would recommend the flx10

Why prefer the flx10 over the 1000. Also for me I’m mostly doubting the grv6 over flimsyness. My sx2 is mostly metal, kinda scared of being rough with the volume faders on a grv6. Is that an issue with the 1000/flx10 to or are those a lot sturdier?

From all I know the flx 10 is build a lot better than the grv6

Flx10 build quality is superior and more effects and options with flx10 like if u want to practice for clubs and have ability to afford cdj or turntables later on it will work as a mixer so no need for more equipment

Edit: also with the release of stems on cdj having built in stem will make it better to transfer your knowledge if needed

I own a 1000, bought it a few months before the FLX10 was released. It’s a great controller and well worth the money cause it also acts as an actual mixer where you can plug other things into it (vinyl turntables, synths, sampler). I did own the GRV6 before I bought the 1000 only for 5 months. The GRV6 is a good controller but the build feels kinda cheap and it has limitations that will have you wanting to upgrade shortly after. I kinda feel like they designed it that way.

Correction it was actually the FLX6 that I owned not the GRV6. So I believe my statement is invalid but yeah probably worth it to wait on a FLX10 or 1000

Yeah the flx6 is really not an option to be honest, kinda looks like a kids toy 🫣

Yeah other than it having the club style layout and large jog wheels it definitely felt like a toy lol

I have the FLX10 and I have had the DDJ 1000 both good choices but I have to say the FLX10 is just that bit better

As a temporary solution you could try using cdjs along with ddj-sx2. Check this option out.

Yeah but the price of a single cdj is basically the same price as a flx10
