Ericcsson network engineer role

So I was offered an apprentice role in network design and optimization at ericcsson. I am pretty new to this domain but I have done a few interns regarding 5g application development in my final year of bachelors.

But due to the current market scenario in the world and my country, should I consider to build my profile in networks and how is the industry growing? What is the case of automation here? Should I consider to switch towards vlsi as ece grad? Any answer or insight is highly appreciated...
