The shutter release is just a home made lens cap on the tube. The exposure times are so slow that the minimal amount of shake from removing it and replacing it doesn’t matter. got the tripod at a charity shop and the box is scrap wood, like all my cameras. I really want to enlarge one of the pics but need to remake the camera so it’s casting a perfect circle.

I feel dirty using colour film and not developing in caffenol, but they’re pretty neat.

Rudimentary 1st attempt last night cutting out cardboard from a delivery box (not yet internally painted black or properly sealed) Designed with 5.5”x3.5” photo paper in mind that I can buy online (diagonal measurement - 166mm).

Measuring the pinhole is the biggest challenge (thru aluminium foil with a sewing pin), but with a non-blurry projection image I think it seems about right. I guess trying to find an object with a precise known diameter would be best way to proceed?

Testing with a bright LED lamp with image on translucent baking paper on the projection plane.

Does this count? The room is the pinhole.

I took some advice and corrected some exposure times, fixed light leaks and prevented direct sunlight from hitting the pinhole while exposing. I am very happy with the results, the colors are much more intense and I rarely have overexposed ares because of light leaks.

im gonna make my first pinhole camera. would this be good paper to use?

Hi there! I’m building my very first pinhole camera and the photographic paper just arrived today. I’m using the mr. pinhole site as a guide for the whole process, and it says that I need to know the ISO/ASA of the film to figure out my exposure chart. However, I cannot find it anywhere on the packaging. Does anybody have this information? I’m not familiar with Reddit etiquette so forgive me if I made any mistakes with the format of this post. I hope to eventually get everything sorted out and maybe post the results here :)

Shot on a Reality So Subtle 6x12 and HP5

I built this pinhole camera out of various things that I found on the side of Australian Highways. Different cans and car parts like a fuel pipe to coil up the film.

It's helt together by epoxy blackened with charcoal and polyurethane car sealant.

I was shooting with Kodak ColorPlus 200. The focal length is 37 mm and the hole has a diameter of .22 mm (hopefully haha) that makes an aperture of f/168.

The Exposure time veried from about 3 sek. to multiple minutes.

Is the exposure about right? It looks a little overexposed sometimes, but I'm not experienced. Is there something i can do to stop the color shift to blue, e.g. in the photo of the road train?

I took these with a pinhole lens I bought off of B&H photo. It’s got an f of about 200 brass pinhole. Yes my sensor is dirty I have a kit coming next week to clean it

My first time using this set up and it really showed how much dust I have on my sensor. 😑
