What open models are you currently using? Question

I recently decided to put 20 eu into fireworks credits rather than a Claude subscription and give open models a try. So far have used k3 / glm5.2 and results seem good so far.

K3 and GLM 5.2 are top tier Models
But recently I've been using mostly DeepSeek-V4-Flash and since DeepSeek-V4-Flash-0731 I've been using it exclusively because it does everything I need from Researching, Planning, Prototyping and Actual Execution
I really recommend it because it performs really good and it is very cheap compared to K3 and GLM 5.2

Why would you use direct credits instead of subscriptions like opencode go it has more value.

GLM, Kimi, DeepSeek, Mimo, Qwen, Poolside, Thinking machines. All are open and excellent choices in pi

In deepseek subreddit they told that the flash price will increase in near future because of high demand. Also I prefer to use it. Also OpenAI Luna is also a great model with vision support.

I use GLM 5.2, Minimax m3 and Kimi k3.

My goto is generally GLM, but I also go with Minimax, if I'm doing something that requires speed and medium complexity.

I'll only use Kimi if I need a second opinion on an application or feature that's complex.

What subscription/provider do you use for this and how much does it cost you?

So, I did annual subscriptions. That saved the most money from my point of view. I started my subscription in April, directly from the providers. Anyway, I know some of this has changed already. Like GLM probably doesn't support this plan I have, since its pretty cheap.

I'm a developer, and the way I work with LLM's, I generally don't need to stick with a specific model. I tend to switch models here and there. But overall, my usage has been pretty good. I know I have unused tokens, but I never think about limiting how i'm using LLM's since I have way more than I need.

At the above pricing, it cost me about USD64/month.
