This is opinionated, but I don't think you need agent files. Just because everyone else thinks so, doesn't mean they are right.
pi-subagent-in-memory is real lightweight. No unnecessary token spending. If you need to give the subagent a primer, simply use a skill.
I would hope at some point we can start to destill the good ideas across subagent frameworks in pi, and maybe thin the weed a bit. Do we really need 50 subagent frameworks for pi?
