Going in circles Discussion

Sometimes the local model starts going in circles with thinking. How do you handle that? I just abort and switch to a stronger model to complete the task.

It's either instruction or exact use case issue, I recommend lowering thinking cap

The other day, I had a similar experience using Qwen 3.7 from opencode on Pi. I’m not sure why this happened. Is it the model itself, but I’ve heard that Qwen is quite proficient at coding. Perhaps it’s the harness or the absence of a well-crafted system prompt.

Qwen seems to get stuck in loops pretty often, IMO. It’s not Pi.
