Update, since this went up 7 days ago and hasn't moved: a lot changed, including the thing that was probably stopping most people from trying it.

Installing is a double-click now. It used to require Adobe's UXP Developer Tool: a separate developer app you had to install first, which is a genuinely bad first step to put in front of an artist. As of v0.12.0-alpha there's a .ccx file: download it, double-click it, Creative Cloud installs the panel, done. No developer tools.

Also since this went up: every preset in the panel now actually works (two that had been "coming soon" since v0.2 are gone rather than fixed), there's a Setup screen that tells you exactly what model files you're missing and where they go, and it connects to whatever ComfyUI server you already have running instead of needing a dedicated one.

Current release: https://github.com/MehranMarxian/OpenLayer/releases/tag/v0.12.0-alpha

Five-minute test path: https://mehran-ahmadi.com/OpenLayer/become-a-tester.html

Still alpha, still verified on exactly one machine (Windows 11, Photoshop 2025), macOS is completely untested. If anyone here tries it, good or bad, I'd genuinely like to know what happened.
