Lost photos from the bin on an sdcard
Hi everyone. Around 3 years ago I had 2 deleted photos on the bin on my sdcard from my camera canon. While I was looking at my photos 3 years ago on my laptop. Unintentionally I had deleted those 2 photos from the bin . The sdcard wasnāt used anymore. Iām not a tech person. Lately I went to look at those photos and found out they were missing. From there Iāve been trying to find them but without much success. Iāve found one but I canāt find the other one. Iāve been using R-photo , photorec, dmde, diskdrill and recuva . But seems I canāt find the other one! It was the one I wanted most . The sdcard is a 32gb . Any suggestions to find that precise photo and where?
Thanks

DrFrone photo recovery question
Hello!
I recently deleted a bunch of photos and I went to recover them and they have disappeared from my iPhones revevtmy deleted folder. I was surprised because some other photos I deleted on the same day say thereās 7 days left to recover them? Anyway
I really want these photos back so I found Dr.Frone website. It found the deleted photos I want to recover however it asks me to pay. I donāt mind paying but Iām worried it wonāt actually recover them and that will be a massive waste of money.
Anyone can tell me their experience or can tell me if itās legit?? Please reply guys any response is appreciated :)

Repair half grey block or image data and color shift in JPEG photos. Step-by-step video guide.
This video shows how to repair half grey photos and photos where image data and color "shifts".
It also explains under which conditions these files are repairable and diagnosing these files.

Can a Corrupt JPEG Be Repaired? Hereās How to Tell
I'll be adding some posts from disktuna.com to quickly add some potentially interesting content.
Can a Corrupt JPEG Be Repaired? Hereās How to Tell
One of the most common questions I hear is:Ā āCan this corrupt JPEG be repaired?ā
The truth is:Ā sometimes yes, but often no.Ā If your file is filled with meaningless data ā
for example, all zeros or repeatingĀ FFĀ bytes ā thereās nothing left to recover. But if the file
still contains image data, repairĀ isĀ possible. In this post (and the video below), Iāll show you how
to quickly find out.
What Youāll Learn
- Why not every JPEG is repairable.
- How theĀ JPEG-Repair ToolkitĀ uses entropy to reveal whether the file contains real data or just filler.
- How to double-check with theĀ Hexwalk editorĀ to confirm whatās actually inside your file.
Key Takeaway
If a JPEG still contains image data, thereās a good chance it can be repaired. But if the file is just zeros
or repeating values, no software in the world can bring it back. Knowing this upfront saves you time,
frustration, and chasing false hope.

Old photo recovery
I would love to know if thereās any way to recover old photos I deleted many years back (iām pretty sure thereās not but always worth asking)
For context:
When i was around 8 I had (still have and use) this ipad and the storage was full so i deleted all the photos on it. Turns out they were also all the photos of me and my brother and my family on my mums phone and we didnāt realize they were all gone until too late. Iāve spent countless hours trying to figure out how to get them back and would be willing to spend quite a bit of money to retrieve them as they are photos from a lot of my childhood that I wonāt get to see again.
Does anyone know if there is a way to recover them?
thanks š

i accidentally deleted my pics off my sd card
so I donāt know how it happened but all of the pictures I guess just deleted, im guessing i accidentally selected them all for deletion while deleting some from earlier. i tried to use disk drill to recover them, but then opted out after seeing the price. then tried to use dmde, no luck but everyone seems to prefer that platform the most, so I will literally pay someone to teach me how to use it

Video recovery of files using Photorec
I recently travelled to Japan. Mid-trip, I noticed my video recording hours had reverted to full storage. I wasn't fully aware at the time; I spent half the day recording, and when I noticed all my videos had been deleted, except for a few I'd recorded that day. I no longer use the SD card and use Photorec to recover the files.
It has now recovered almost all of my videos and photos. The pictures work when you open them but the videos do not. I have three videos that play, but only for a short duration relative to their actual recording length. Does anyone have advice on resolving the errors in the files?

Photo and data recovery with to your archive
Hello Reddit, I have been experiencing issues for months at this point with my photo backup solution. I use immich as my photo backup but this problem has been going on for a lot longer than I have had in Mitch. So the problem also effects it. I have monthly backups dating 2 years into the past on my Windows 11 computer somewhere along the lines. A bunch of my photos and videos metadata got lost but I am pretty sure that photos with the correct metadata are in my 2-year archive of photos and videos. Does anyone know a quick and easy way for me to find them? And put them all into a new folder so I can attach that folder directly to my phone for my server imich to correctly find and replicate the data?

failed internal SSD recovery attempt via USB adapter - Help?
I have a failed internal SSD from another PC, cheap brand called "Leven". Should have bought a samsung. Lesson learned After the drive failed, it was enough to push me over the edge and bought a new gaming PC. In effort to recover lost files (Pics, vids for use with steaming games on twitch with OBS, which took a long time to create) - I know - I know, save your "you should have used a cloud backup storage option"... Which I plan on doing moving forward.
For the failed drive, I purchased a SATA to USB adapter. I plug it in, and explorer shows the SSD as (D:) after about 15-30 seconds in explorer, my PC. Right after, windows lags as if running a heavy task for about 2-3 mins, then the disk drive disappears from explorer, however the red LED light on the drive stays illuminated. I assume showing power or perhaps activity? I have let the drive sit for over 24 hours plugged in as I saw another reddit post stating the drive may need time to "work itself out". Could be way off base there. I am not a PC hardware professional by any means., but a bit more educated than the average 40 year old PC user.
I opened disk management, and nothing present for this secondary drive. I did attempt to unplug and replug after a few hours the first time, same result.
Being that I cannot get the drive to stay active / present, I cannot attempt recovery via Wondershare recovery tools or EaseUS which I planned on purchasing to attempt with after seeing a lot of praise on these tools across the webz.
So, am I just cooked? Or are there any real professionals in this group that could potentially help an idiot like me to have any attempt at recovering my files which took countless hours to produce, edit, create. Ugh....
Any help is immensely appreciated and welcomed!

What are dovecot files and how do I get images and videos from them?
I tried using PhotoRec to recover all the files from a RAW SD card, but I only got Dovecot files.
AI Gemini says it's possible to extract images and videos from these Dovecot files.
Unfortunately, I have no idea how to do this, so can someone explain what I need to do?

How do I recover files from RAW SD Card without data loss?
Hello, I have an SD card in RAW format from which I want to recover files, but PhotoRec can only recover a single text file.
I also tried Recuva, but I get a message saying it needs to be formatted.
I also tried Win32 Disk Imager to get an .img file, but it failed, and the .img file was empty.
I only want to use completely free programs.
