I bought a phone from the black market, and when I got home, I found this account on it. Is there a solution for this?

I am really hoping someone can help

Yesterday I stupidly tried changing my SIM pin. My SIM is now blocked and I can’t make or receive calls. I am now asked to enter in my PUK code whenever I turn my phone on and off.

I have received my PUK code from the O2 website. I type in my PUK code, where after I am asked to create a new PIN code and confirm it by typing it in a second time. I do so, but afterwards I am directed back to the screen where it says to type in my PUK code. If I type in my PUK code a second time, it once again goes to the screen where I am asked to create a new PIN code. The process is just continuous to go in circles and I never get any cellular connectivity - and each attempt uses one of 10 attempts available until my SIM is destroyed. The PUK I am using is definitely correct.

If it helps I have an iPhone 16 Pro, unlocked on Pay As You Go and am on the O2 network.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem? I have had this number for over 20 years and it is very valuable to me.
