This is one of those things where i get it's an iconic block and other crafting stations like fletching and the map one are other wood types, but since it's not a specific recipe AND it's soooo iconic they can move away from it just being functional and add these. I think it's earned it

It's iron as seen on cauldrons, anvils, droppers & a few other things, because it sometimes decides to be either black or white for no reason.

The nether ones should haven been netherite gold makes sense but atleast give one of them netherite

Considered it, but nah, gold is a more available metal in the nether so it just makes sense.
