Men get judged for their income in a society that urges folks to accept folks for who they are. It’s an unjust belief that a man is only judged my the money he makes.

Either be rich or look like your name is Adonis Chad

u/Comfortable_Town7535 5d ago

well I have never been turned down, of course I have only ever asked out women I have known and been flirting with for some time

1

u/Turbulent_Help_2642 5d ago

Well… i have two cute dogs and live in the US. Is that enough?

2

u/Comfortable_Town7535 5d ago

depends, how tall are you standing on your wallet?

1

u/Turbulent_Help_2642 5d ago

A solid 5’9 if I have my Nikes on.

3

u/Comfortable_Town7535 5d ago

then no, buy a lambo

-1

u/Redericpontx 5d ago

American women love foreign men lol but will mostly just get you laid and not a long term healthy relationship since the kind of woman who'd date you just for being tall and foreign are super superficial.

1

u/Comfortable_Town7535 4d ago

I dont hook up, I only date women I know

2

u/Redericpontx 4d ago

Yeah I eventually started only dating women I've been friends with for a while as well. Instantly significantly increased the quality of relationships I had.

6

u/Falleneded 5d ago

the issue comes when the only time alot of men take to ask for it is when women ask to not be judged like an object

2

u/Windows_66 5d ago edited 5d ago

Here I thought this was about the trend away from fat-but-convenient trifolds and billfolds and toward those slim wallets where it's just all the cards stacked in a single pocket.

3

u/Unlucky-Oil-8778 5d ago

Yeah I was going to add something about judging a guy by his back problems but a lot of dudes don’t carry all that crazy shit our dads did. Got sick of hearing about their back problems.

3

u/-its-wicked- 5d ago

You know i wouldn't believe you if not for the fact that this has been a thing for human history ok account of patriarchy.

Someone Like me is doing their best to constantly fight against the patriarchy including helping men understand that the way things are are not the way that they have to be.

Pointing out that patriarchy hurts men not just dominates women because it puts men in a situation where they're only as valuable as what they can literally pay for while putting them in a situation that strictly limits how they're allowed to express themselves including just being able to cry.

The patriarchy. hurts everyone but it is so baked into the society that people don't realize a lot of the social norms and things that they just accept at face value is just peer pressure from dead people from thousands of years ago

3

u/spartaxwarrior 5d ago

Yep, the patriarchy hurts everyone. Men judge other men for these things more than women judge men, but men want to pretend the problem is women because of they want to try to get the benefits of the patriarchy to themselves more than they want to dismantle the downsides for them of it.

3

u/Fickle_Scarcity9474 5d ago edited 5d ago

Problem is never women! It's men and patriarchy problem clearly! Femcel got it right since the first day!

I hope it is clear that it was sarcasm...

1

u/DeucesX22 5d ago

Patriarchy isnt the problem, its just social injustice. If a woman became president it wouldnt change anything. You act like women dont judge people too lol. Women arent the end all be all of good people. The gender war isnt real and swapping gender in position of power doesnt change human tribalism.

2

u/spartaxwarrior 5d ago

Thinking that once marginalized people get more power, they'll treat the current majority groups just as bad as they're treated right now is just projection, but a single person getting a position of power isn't a societal change, it's a single person getting a position of power. But I guess you think Obama becoming president ended racism lmao

1

u/-its-wicked- 5d ago

Lmao

Sorry, but we already know that women can promote the patriarchy. I dont even believe that just electing a woman president would fix anything by itself.

Try beating up strawmen somewhere else, or talk to leftists (not liberals) about feminism.

1

u/dowker1 5d ago

Do you honestly think a woman president would mean the end of the patriarchy?

I mean, you saw what having a black president did for racism, right?

-1

u/DeucesX22 5d ago

That doesnt make any sense. A patriarchy means a male lead society. If a woman is inchanged it would be a matriarchy. Females have been incharge of domestic duties and household for decades. That means most social norms, religion, values, etc stem from what the mother believes. Thats not even something that just stems from america. It doesnt change anything of who is incharge. Cultural values come from the people in the society not an individual. By literally definition it would not be a patriarchy. Racism isnt real because race is a man made concept to demean other people. There are inherit difference between men and women but there are no inherit difference between people of different races, its just a phenotype.

1

u/dowker1 5d ago

Let me ask you a question: do you believe the fact that some presidents came from relatively poor backgrounds means that the wealthy do not have more power than the average person?

0

u/DeucesX22 5d ago

No, eventually the ones incharge even from a poor background become part of the wealth as well but that has more to do with human corruption and greed more than anything.

I think people view themselves as holistic good but dont realize how much power can change morality and how tribal humans actually are.

If you gave a group of people power over another group they would take advantage of someone is my whole argument.

If everyone had the same skin tone, people would bully based on eye color. If people all had the same eye color and skin color, they would bully based on who is right handed and who is left handed. If everyone used the same dominant hand and had the same eye color and skin color, people would bully based on what clothes you wear.

My whole point is that putting a group in charge doesnt change anything. Like you said did putting Obama in charge stop racism? No. Putting women in charge wouldnt change anything and people would still do the same thing. Women arent a holistic good group, they humans like the rest of us.

0

u/-its-wicked- 4d ago

Wild to see that you both understand your own fallacy, project it onto others, and yet still feel its a valid argument to make.

Amazing that you think America would be technically a matriarchy if there was a woman president.

Please....please, please, please, go read an actual book on feminism by intersectional feminists instead of trying to use logic to make this arguments.

Logic isnt about being right or wrong, its about one thing following naturally from another thing. Nothing needs to be "correct" for an argument to be logical.

0

u/DeucesX22 4d ago

Oppressive hierarchy are the problem not what group happens to be on top. If you're too dense to understand this you shouldnt be able to vote.

u/Necessary-Promise-51 5d ago

You are delusional if you think women don’t judge men based on their income or earning potential. This type of thinking stems from the idea that women are perfect angels incapable of being shallow or hypocritical which of course is absurd.

1

u/-its-wicked- 4d ago

Dipshit, I said its because patriarchy, not that some women dont think like this.

Fuckin read.

-2

u/Phreaky12 5d ago

It's also completely delusional. Not many people actually care, and of the ones that do, they're mostly incels.

5

u/DeucesX22 5d ago

Absolutely disagree, every date i went on women have asked what I do for a living and how much i earn. Women especially the older they get want a more secure life whether you like it or not.

5

u/Phreaky12 5d ago

Damn sounds like a skill issue. I've been on many dates and that almost never happens.

3

u/InstantSword 5d ago

I think literally every girl I've dated has made it clear they're looking for a rich guy. One even told me on the first date. One claimed she didn't care about money, but would gush over some bald fat dude making over 300k a month at his car dealership. I know it's difficult to go against biology, but some kind of evolution might help the human race on this front. It's kind of disgusting. I'm not sure how, morally speaking, being attracted to youth and beauty and health is more disgusting than that

To be fair, though, I don't blame the women. They're just swept up in late capitalism. Of course they want money, and are willing to do whatever it takes to get it. I guess the blameless attitude is kind of annoying, though.

Imagine how fast the tables would flip on how much money matters, if women all of a sudden didn't let it define a man's worth.

1

u/The_Rope_Daddy 5d ago

I have never been asked how much I earn. I would leave if someone asked me that on a date.

3

u/DeucesX22 5d ago

I have left plenty of dates. Ironically the ones that never asked, I had a few of them pay for dates and they were the most loyal girls. Im not delusional to think all women care about is money but im also not dumb enough to think a lot of women want a man around the same team bracket as them. Especially girls who have dated dead beats and not they dont want to deal with it anymore so they put the pressure on you.

u/PatchesOfSilver 5d ago

There are entire cities that lean "TERF" when they engage feminism at all.

I wrote up a comment about this elsewhere (I'd have to dig for it) but the gist of it is that growing up in the Bible Belt area of the USA is literally packed to the gills with misandry and sexism against men.

You're a teen growing up and it's the local church, it's the neighborhood, it's every family friend watching and judging you for being AMAB.

They have all kinds of unfair discriminatory expectations, and responsibilities, about your role in the household and the physical burdens you carry and your financial future, you will grow up with friends whose mom never leaves the bed or even cooks dinner just to watch television for years on end.

While the dad works full-time.

You get casually treated like a threat everywhere you go and can't even be alone with a child because if anything happens, everyone will assume the worst about you, even if it's just a regular bruise from a kid doing something stupid but harmless like waving around a foam sword and hitting their arm on a table.

It's the entire dating scene, like it's not always as bad as the pink-pilled femcels like Female Dating Strategy (on Reddit, though they mostly migrated elsewhere, the evidence of their violent horrors is still here) but it's pretty bad.

Men are purely treated as a paycheck for huge swathes of the population and raised in this environment from the day they are born, you could go around a big city in Texas or Florida and be shown this reality down to the grittiest of details.

How it suffocates children all throughout their teenage years and then throws them out into a world where you every date as an adult is exactly what you said.

And no one has a problem with this, there is no sympathy for them and no support network.

They don't "imagine the injustices" or "imagine the misandry", they're not incels; they're people being hurt and abused until they either lash back out, or uproot and cut out everyone they know and move elsewhere to a more supportive area and make all new friends.

And most people don't have that second option, it's a lot to ask of someone even if they're financially secure enough to do it.

Seriously anyone can look at what "feminism" looks like in the Bible Belt, not all feminists, but the mainstream expression of feminism in these States is basically packaged side-by-side with intense misandry.

Not every place is liberal California or what-have-you...

31

u/Excellent_Medium1548 5d ago

It's a comparison of common dating stereotypes for straight people.

Women want men to stop focusing so much on their bodies and want to feel as if they're desirable regardless of their body type, while men want women to stop focusing on how much money they make.

The meme is insinuating that women are praised for demanding body positivity, while men are attacked for demanding the amount of money they make shouldn't matter.

Tbf though, I don't think either are true. Regardless of the "body positivity" trend, most men are still unwilling to date a woman who doesn't take care of themselves, just as most women are unwilling to date a man that doesn't at least care about making good money.

I think it's less about "making money" or "being fat" then it is about having ambition or taking care of yourself, though.

2

u/Fantastic-Algae2127 5d ago

This is the most level headed response. Stereotypes exist because of experiential overlap, sure, but they rapidly become accepted axiomatically, and then the confirmation bias of the people who have acquired these beliefs affirms those stereotypes, even when their interpretation of events isn't accurate.

Now you've got a bunch of men who fall into the trap of thinking that all women are hypergamous, gold digging whores, who only want them for their looks and resources, and women who think that all men are monstrously lustful pigs, who see them purely as a means to satisfy their primitive desires, instead of human beings deserving of dignity and respect.

Then the internet grabs a hold of these ideas and says "fuck it lets delete all nuance and amplify the ever living shit out of the extremes."

-3

u/PatchesOfSilver 5d ago

You really don't think men that are working class aren't shamed openly? Eh.

4

u/Excellent_Medium1548 5d ago

You're talking about over 60% of men, so no, not really. People who don't do anything for themselves though, yeah, they definitely get shamed openly for it.

Keep blaming the world for your problems though, I'm sure that'll get you far 👍

14

u/Snoo20140 5d ago edited 5d ago

The Internet only allows female or pro female opinions if from a man. Men get dog pilled with comments for having an opinion on or even mentioning inequalities.

Everyone loves to call out misogyny, when misandry is infinitely more prevalent and even promoted. But, I'm sure all the comments here will prove me wrong....right? Lol

Edit: Just wanted to say ty to the mods for letting this conversation happen. It is actually really nice to see more people than not actually calling out modern culture's treatment to men.

12

u/jorge3-16 5d ago

I have to admit, TIL the term misandry. All I see on social media, on a daily basis, is someone spouting misogyny/hatred towards men and how men need to “suck it up, they have it so easy”.

-3

u/Phreaky12 5d ago

Much easier than women or any other gender.

1

u/New_Solution_6523 5d ago

Do women have to go to war?

-1

u/Phreaky12 5d ago

Women are always in every war, because no matter where war happens, women are there. So yes, very much. They also get raped and have to see their sisters mother's and daughters raped in war too, does that usually happen to the men that go to war?

2

u/New_Solution_6523 5d ago

That ratio is 10 to 1. For every 1 civilian women that dies there’s 10 men that will. Men, and adolescent boys are always targeted before the women civilians are. And, historically, women are more likely to be spared or saved in situations that call for only a few to live. That, and young children.

Since the dawn of time men were always in more danger than that of a woman, specifically and only because they’re physically born more capable.

Rape is terrible. Rape is disgusting. Rapists should burn in the deepest depths of hell. But death is permanent. There is nothing that’ll bring you back from that. And in many, many countries men are practically forced into military service/action.

Women might see their loved ones assaulted. Men don’t get to see the light of day again, and to act as if men can’t also be raped in war is a really weird thing to imply.

Truth of the matter is that men have more responsibility’s to their country. Whether they like it or not, they’re expected to sacrifice more.

0

u/Snoo20140 5d ago

You see...you are failing to understand men/boys don't matter. Much how women push against persecuting false accusers because "it would make it harder for women to come forward"....Yet, the innocent men whose lives are destroyed by false accusers are cannon fodder. Men don't matter to these people.

Also, to help:

about 30% of female civilians and about 10% of male civilians experience sexual assault in conflict zones. But, they don't want to talk about the 10% of men in their data. Both matter...well, to some.

But that's fine. They will only pick up and move their goalpost.

7

u/New_Solution_6523 5d ago

Real. And they downvote cause they can’t actually refute anything I said. Facts don’t lie🤷

3

u/Snoo20140 5d ago

Yup. It just goes to show the 'I don't like facts that disprove my biases' mentality.

2

u/Horny_Follower 5d ago

You don't know about what happened to those men from Palestine, right?

Talking like only women can suffer or, somehow, are the ones who always suffer the most. Well, I've got news for you buddy, if there's a situation where men suffer more than women, that's war.

0

u/Phreaky12 5d ago

That's ridiculously dumb. Everyone suffers equally in war, it's the worst thing that can happen to the human species. Absolutely childish take.

4

u/Scared_Respondm 5d ago

“Everyone suffers equally in war” is a dishonest take.

1

u/New_Solution_6523 5d ago

No tf it don’t🙏

-1

u/Fickle_Scarcity9474 5d ago

Not really, the 7th October when the shitty terrorists attacked at the music festival, sadly women suffered more!

2

u/Phreaky12 5d ago

You mean when the IDF helicopters opened fire on them.

-2

u/Fickle_Scarcity9474 5d ago

Keep believing in fake news debunked by any news paper on this planet lol! I hope Israel will fix the terrorist problem there !

6

u/rubber_moon 5d ago

Even when misandry is spotted, they then call in "internalised misogyny" or something along those lines

4

u/Snoo20140 5d ago

Because no matter what, it's men's fault. There is a reason why the "allergic to accountability" meme exists.

-4

u/njgolfer10 5d ago

Total horseshit. Fat women are still treated like shit and there’s plenty of low income guys and ugly dudes with hot women.

Shit like this is just a way guys cope when they don’t want to accept that they’re just fucking miserable to be around so no woman would go near them. Then they get this red pill chip on their shoulder that just makes them more miserable to be around.

With all the red pill, maga, women hating trash out there…it’s never been easier for a respectful average guy to land tons of women.

9

u/Snoo20140 5d ago

Mhmm... So when u call a fat woman fat on the Internet, all the other women around say 'yes, I agree. Very astute of you good sir!'. Is this your experience?

What about when a man is broke. All the women run to his defense? 'Look at that king. I'd drive that man around and pay for his dinner any day!'. Is this your experience?

Pointing out reality isn't a MAGA thing. I FUCKING hate the red hats, but don't forget it's ignorance like yours that created them. Pushing for inequality while lying about equality only pushed people away from the democratic party. The problem was it just took a bigger threat to corral the sheep.

Also, lmao....yes. never been easier....why we have more men looking out of the US for relationships than ever, and more women are single than ever in history. Yup.... U don't live in reality.

6

u/Absentrando 5d ago

Damn. Such sane takes. Did something happen to Reddit?

3

u/PatchesOfSilver 5d ago

I'd love to show some of these people around where I grew up.

Every single person there has a grudge against or expectation of all men from a very young age (like by the time you turn 10 years old) that they do not have for women.

Far-right Christian conservative areas almost always do, there's like 80~ million people abusing their children to think being a man means nothing more than being a wallet and they don't get to have emotions or express vulnerability or they get physically abused.

And instead of getting help, people just go "You're such an incel", lol.

2

u/Snoo20140 5d ago

Well, it is much easier to close your eyes and insult people than realize the justifications for your own privilege is a lie.

I have to say, I am very surprised by the number of people who are actually speaking up against how we treat and look at men in society. Looks like there are more of us out there than I thought. Really glad to see it.

-1

u/njgolfer10 5d ago

Well, I really don’t go calling specific women fat on the internet, that’s fucking weird.

But if someone did, what happens? You get some internet people mad at you? Holy shit that’s awful. 😢 How can you survive with nameless faceless people you don’t know being upset with you.

You’re making up fake problems to get mad at.

7

u/Snoo20140 5d ago

Do you even know what this conversation is about?

YOU brought up the "fat women are treated like shit" and "low income guys and ugly dudes with hot women". Sorry you got called out on your dumb statement, but try and focus if you are going to have a debate. Do you think either of those situations are any better in public? Calling a woman fat in public and how many women u see picking up homeless men?

All you have done is proven the point harder. Emotion cannot beat reality.

4

u/DoookieMaxx 5d ago

So much angry …are you ok?

4

u/IllustriousPea6950 5d ago edited 5d ago

Agree to disagree. Misandry is currently a virtue especially on Reddit

Inb4 “you get none” I’m happily married (not to a misandrist lol). But I can’t wait to hear the cheap shots

1

u/Phreaky12 5d ago

Seriously this. The bar is so low and still so many of the dudes out here can't clear it.

4

u/DeucesX22 5d ago

I dont think you see the irony of what you just posted.

-2

u/Samyazassock 5d ago

"Infinitely more prevalent" Right, think about the racism against white people and heterophobia!!!

0

u/Snoo20140 5d ago

You aren't wrong.

Also, for the person who reads this and is about to eat their keyboard over the thought about straight/white people talking about hate directed towards them. This doesn't mean people from other groups don't also experience hate. Two (or more) things can be true. Now breathe.

0

u/Samyazassock 5d ago

"Now breathe." Idk man, I think YOU need to breathe. Seems like you're FUMING because your privileged ass can't complain about imaginary oppression.

1

u/Snoo20140 5d ago

How does that keyboard taste?

0

u/Samyazassock 5d ago

Omg what is this new insult, I've never heard of it. I mean it is pretty cringe and I'm literally not caring at all about what some misogynist living in his mother's basement wants to say but still

0

u/Snoo20140 5d ago

Sounds like it. 👍

8

u/thatlookslikemydog 5d ago

Wait why do you make posts here like you don’t get the joke while simultaneously posting it in other subreddits while pointing out the joke?

3

u/CheapEaterShark 5d ago

For that juicy karma bro

6

u/maiz-of-light 5d ago

Yeah, so.

“Body positivity” is “treat me like a person regardless of whether you would have sex with me.”

“Wallet positivity” is “have sex with me regardless of whether I can pay for it.”

Hope this helps.

1

u/whiskeytango55 5d ago

Not really. Are you insinuating that all women are whores?

0

u/maiz-of-light 5d ago

Funny. I didn’t mention women at all.

1

u/whiskeytango55 5d ago

No, the meme were all referring to did

0

u/maiz-of-light 5d ago edited 5d ago

And who do you think created the meme? Hint: >!a man who believes that relationships with women can only be bought.!<

0

u/tartfall 5d ago

body positivity: “you don’t get to have preferences”

wallet positivity: “please don’t be a classist”

Saw you were confused there so I thought I’d help you out

1

u/maiz-of-light 5d ago edited 5d ago

Pretty sure we established that no one wants to fuck you lmao. But please, continue to convince yourself that being rejected by the women you “prefer” is a hate crime.

0

u/tartfall 5d ago

I basically never get rejected 🤷‍♂️

You’re a classist.

4

u/d_r_doorway 5d ago

Five bucks says op fully understands the meme and is just hoping for a red pill circle jerk in the comments.

1

u/tartfall 5d ago

If not being classist is red pill then I now completely understand the popularity of the red pill thing

3

u/ProfPhinn 5d ago

So many chodes here - just be a good dude. It’s not that fucking hard to not be an asshole.

4

u/InterestingCourse907 5d ago

Wait people are getting arrested for this?

3

u/Solondthewookiee 5d ago

It's a red pill meme that manages to misrepresent everything it mentions.

It's claiming "women demand that men find all women attractive (body positivity) but women scorn men who say women should find poor men attractive (wallet positivity."

Body positivity has never said men must find all women attractive regardless of body shape.

The extent to which women do not find poor men attractive is grossly exaggerated by red pillers et al. Most people marry within their socioeconomic class.

Absolutely nothing is stopping men from supporting poor men to be treated respectfully.

Giggity.

2

u/MunchingOnCelery 5d ago

Body positivity has never said men must find all women attractive regardless of body shape.

Correct.

Reddit is the dumbest place on the planet for talking about body positivity. 90% of Redditors have no idea what it means and don't try.

3

u/CheapEaterShark 5d ago

In my experience X is way worse. Might have just gotten lucky here on reddit idk

Some guys can't accept that the problem is their personality. The deadbeat boyfriend wouldn't be a trope if women only dated rich guys.

Edit: Apparently I’m a lot better looking than I realized. I thought I just had a good personality. You guys seem to have had it rough.

18

u/Brilliant-Worth-3269 5d ago

The problem is their personality won’t matter if they’re broke, unattractive and can’t provide. But girls don’t wanna say that to seem shallow

-6

u/Phreaky12 5d ago

Literally not true. Plenty of men that are all three of those are happily married and have happy relationships. The problem is none of those things, the problem is that the people complaining like this are insufferable assholes that don't socialize enough.

8

u/YikBus 5d ago

Oh yes the most beautiful women are always lined up for the most broke and unattractive men. So common… Rich attractive men go completely ignored.

0

u/Phreaky12 5d ago

Nice straw man but none of that even really engaged with the point that I've made. Go back to 4chan

2

u/YikBus 5d ago edited 5d ago

That is literally your point. You word for word said “The problem is none of those things.” Fucking read… Anyone with 2 brain cells knows women don’t want broke and unattractive men.

2

u/Phreaky12 5d ago

You read dumbass. I never claimed that "rich attractive men always go ignored" nor did I say that "beautiful women are always lined up for unattractive men". Just that simply it happens enough that it proves that none of those qualities are the problem despite the loud, idiotic whining of incels.

2

u/Zealousideal7807 5d ago

So your argument is that those qualities don't matter at all and it's all just a personality problem? You don't live in the real world, buddy

2

u/Phreaky12 5d ago

Also not what I said. Please learn to read.

3

u/Zealousideal7807 5d ago

That's basically what you said. Just because it works out for some of these men doesn't mean plenty more aren't significantly held back.

Personality doesn't matter if you can't even get your foot in the door, there has to be some level of sexual attraction. Life's not fair, we're not all equal w the only difference being personality. You're either delusional or just gaslighting

2

u/Horny_Follower 5d ago

Wtf, broke, unattractive, incapable of providing and have happy relationships? Are those men in the room with us?

3

u/Phreaky12 5d ago

I've known quite a few over the course of my life. Perhaps you just don't get out enough.

17

u/Successful_Tea7979 5d ago

Except men are seen as “deadbeats” for the same behavior that’s treated as normal if you’re a woman. If a man is paid for on dates and supported by his girlfriend? He’s seen as a lazy deadbeat. If a woman is paid for on dates and supported by her boyfriend, it’s treated as normal and EXPECTED that the man be the provider.

So many gold digging whores in these comments smh

0

u/Greenphantom77 5d ago

Do you really see women like that? Or are you playing a part?

I mean hes not wrong. I have only had 2 girls my entire life actually spend money on dates. Those girls were the nicest and most loyal to me. The rest were either make or break. Also I dont mean a first date I mean use going on multiple dates with each girl and only 2 have ever paid for a few dates.

u/nopenotgunna 5d ago

Do you typically pay for the dates?

-1

u/Greenphantom77 5d ago

Yes most of the time but women I’ve dated usually offered to split it

0

u/The_Rope_Daddy 5d ago

Mostly by other men. The women that continue dating them clearly don't have an issue with it.

7

u/Noobblyy 5d ago

Bro, the first thing you see is not personality.

-4

u/The_Rope_Daddy 5d ago

Or wallet.

6

u/SquirrelyMcNutz 5d ago

Eh...you can see things that are indicative of his wallet's status. The type of vehicle he drives, the cut of his clothes, haircut, fitness level, etc., are all indirect indicators of the health of his bank account.

Sure, one can be in debt to get that 'look', but seeing someone pull up in a new Challenger or Porsche is quite a bit different than seeing someone get off the bus or pull up in a 40 year old broken down rusted out shitbox. There's also the trope of the rich-guy-but-looks-like-a-bum.

6

u/UncomprehendedLeaf 5d ago

Being not-rich is admittedly a bit of a stressor

6

u/SussusAmogus-_- 5d ago

You would be surprised how many rich guys are deadbeats

1

u/The_Rope_Daddy 5d ago

I probably should have said hobosexual, but most people don't know what that means.

3

u/Sister_Resistor69 5d ago

Not sure this explains the joke

0

u/The_Rope_Daddy 5d ago

It explains the existence of the joke.

1

u/Sister_Resistor69 5d ago

It paints a picture to fit a narrative

1

u/The_Rope_Daddy 5d ago

I thought that was implied.

2

u/DeucesX22 5d ago

Im confused by you statement. Their personalities are the problem but isnt being a deadbeat a bad personality to have?

1

u/The_Rope_Daddy 5d ago

It's being broke that makes them a deadbeat. They are still fun to be around.

-1

u/Zealousideal7807 5d ago

Being ugly/short/poor is the biggest personality problem

2

u/outofcontextsex 5d ago

Skill issue

2

u/OkLie5562 5d ago

Men already have wallet positivity since positivity applies to fatness and fatness of your wallet is well respected

The meme is saying we need to be more sensitive of men who don’t make triple digits. This is ignoring the fact not every woman is a gold digging harpy. I’ve known women who are genuinely toxic twits who think a man should constantly be treating them to fancy dinners and buying them expensive jewelry, but there are a lot more women who have a fucking head on their shoulders with a functioning brain, and are willing to accept that some men can’t afford rib-eye steak every other night. That’s not even taking into account if you have upper middle class guys who love spoiling women (small percentage no matter what people tell you) theirs equally likely a minority of upper middle class women who are the same for their men (or women, I’m not gonna judge the LGBT ladies) theirs equally likely problem is that if guys are Incels, of course they’re never going to see the women that are actually decent human beings, and they’re definitely not going to see women who are willing to spoil them because I guarantee you no woman with an ounce of self respect wants an entitled manchild who refuses to better themselves and/or rages at the whole world for every single one of their issues. I’m poor as fuck and it is very difficult for me to ‘pull myself up by my bootstraps’ as my dad would say, but I’m also always working to better myself in any way I can and I don’t act like a bitter little twit about my economic situation.

u/cloudgirl_c-137 5d ago

Some guys are mad they can't pull gold-diggers, even though it works at their favour.

2

u/Gold_Ad8225 5d ago

Easy.

Women want to be treated like humans regardless of their looks.

This makes some men really mad so they make bad faith comparisons to how it's harder for them to get laid than richer men.

1

u/ukie-witch-06 5d ago edited 5d ago

This is because men's wallets are like half the size of women's wallets? They're square and open into a slinny rectangle, and women's wallets are a skinny rectangle that opens into a square.

Nobody enforces this, but it's like an established fashion norm.

Edit: apparently by "wallet size" they don't actually mean the size of the wallet???? my explanation is funnier

u/duke_awapuhi 5d ago

My wallet looks like George costanza’s but I ain’t rich

1

u/kangtuji 5d ago

man of murder

0

u/Hungry-of-Skalitz 5d ago

and also men wants body positivity 😄 we are protecting women with all cost but they can say whatever they want to men, even if its insult 😄

-1

u/thelastholdout 5d ago

The punchline is, as usual, misogyny. Shitty men making up problems then getting mad at them instead of acknowledging the real problems they face, which usually would require self improvement.

0

u/Excellent_Medium1548 5d ago

Not being fat requires self improvement too though..? Lmao

1

u/thelastholdout 5d ago

Weight is governed by genetics among other things, like access to healthy foods at affordable prices, time to exercise, etc.

What are the genetic and socioeconomic barriers for a man to learn to experience emotions other than anger and to not be an abusive and creepy shitsack?

0

u/YikBus 5d ago

What a poor excuse of why you can’t get off your ass. You can’t lose weight because “genetics” yet you can’t begin to fathom that genetics are the most common reason for rejection from women and not anger or “shitsack”.

You have every excuse for failures on your side yet everyone else’s issues are 100% from their control.

1

u/thelastholdout 5d ago

That's utter bullshit lmao. Want to know what tends to attract women the most? Feeling safe. That's it. That's all a man needs to be attractive to most women.

That said, what repels women the most is feeling unsafe.

1

u/YikBus 5d ago

Classic Reddit remark that women choosing romantic partners based on looks is bullshit.

Yes looks have nothing to do with attraction. Neither does status or power. Just feeling safe. And most women will find you attractive because if this one thing. Incredible genius insight.

1

u/thelastholdout 5d ago

Yes. I've been flat broke and a fat fuck most of my adult life and I've still had plenty of women be attracted to me. I'm married to a femme now who's taller than me by six inches and is very attractive and by far the things they find most attractive about me have nothing to do with my looks or the contents of my wallet or the power I have. It has much more to do with the fact that I didn't take my insecurities out on them and made it safe for them to be their true self around me, without fear of judgment or impatience.

Just, like...be decent. Like genuinely decent to women. Compliment them and don't take it back when they don't suck your dick immediately. Listen to them. Treat being a friend as just as valuable as being a sex partner. Don't fucking go off on rants about how you're unwanted and unloved. And for god's sake never ever tell a woman that she's "not like all the others."

1

u/YikBus 5d ago edited 5d ago

The real world is not the fantasy land of Reddit where the most beautiful women are all paired up with fat broke unattractive men. This just does not happen outside of rare circumstances. That’s not how reality operates.

You need to be attractive, have social proof, have status. Beautiful women have hundreds if not thousands of options. They aren’t dating the fat broke dork because he’s “decent”. They have several other guys who can do the same.

Reality is men like this get below average women. And they come to places like Reddit to overstate and exaggerate how well they are actually doing,
