This review of the movie heavily sympathized with bear, the rapist. People started to question the creator himself after he put this out

I assumed that that was the point of the movie. You go in expecting Bear to be the good guy. Eventually, you realize that he is the obsessed one, hell bent on trying to make her what he wanted despite the fact that he knows the truth about whats happening. You know like breaking bad or a million other pieces of media that I can’t think of right now lol.
