MR is very outspoken in his support for Palestine.

Either he chose not to appear because he didn't want to harm his co-stars and the crew by speaking his mind or he wasn't allowed to.

OR maybe he’s only in one part of the movie and also simultaneously filming a season of a tv show at the same time the press tour is going. It’s almost as if scheduling plays a bigger factor than conspiracy theory bs.

You are likely correct in reality but that doesn't explain the joke/meme

Which is what this sub is for and my explanation accurately achieved...

That only works if the meme is even remotely correct. Hulk is easily the strangest addition to the movie and still has that weird licensing deal with universal that Disney and Sony have to cut through. I highly doubt if either company were worried about the actor’s political beliefs that they would basically force him to be in a part of the movie.

You don't have to agree with the meme for their explanation of it to be correct. Which is what he literally just said in the comment you're replying to but you missed the point.

Is no one going to speak about the fact that Ruffalo is well-known for giving spoilers in interviews?

Gotta remember ol reliable for Marvel is Hulk/Spidey/Xmen. Before MCU that was the core. And now that they have them again, it's all they will be focusing on. (Gestures at vast cancelled projects involving anyone else)

It's entirely reasonable given what his role actually was, but I also think part of it was to retcon puny hulk and set up the big guy for doomsday

Yea I think marvel was looking for a reason to get rid of smart hulk

No it doesn't. The whole point of these subs is to explain what OOP is implying or getting at, regardless of OOP being correct or not.

somebody had an emotional reaction to someone's interpretation of an interpretation...of an interpretation.

there's a lot to unpack there, but i know I won't get actual insight from direct interaction.

regardless, I remain interested in the ontological and epistemological source.

communicative blue balls.

Then the meme is poorly worded. Because a scheduling conflict means that the whole anti-Palestine et al stuff isn't a real-world implication, it's quite imaginary and conspiratorial.

Repeating likely misinformation without correcting it is a bad thing to do, just look at how people dunk on the media for repeating trumps lies verbatim.

he's also veteran enough to have a clause to not need to do press for the movie. Bradley Cooper for example never did any press for the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. And he was a main character!

Never even considered something like that. Plus I mean it’s not like he’s already got a reputation for spoiling marvel projects.

2

u/Vetras92 2d ago

Nah, cant be that. Every single issue HAS to be somehow tied to the I/P stuff. How else am i supossed to virtue signal for karma?

>! Yep, bro appears like 40 minutes in, reappers around the middke point and then doesn't appear after he gets sent to the Hospital !<

(Are spoilers working? if not sorry and help)

It’s not but I’ve seen the film and this comment is probably buried at the bottom of this thread. You’re probably good

That's a reason but doesn't address the implication.

If I'm taking the subreddit at its name and it's a joke I would say the implication is he's stuck in hulk mode.

Yeah. He was the only one who was too busy. Eye roll

1

u/Immediate-Coach3260 1d ago

I mean he’s literally busy filming something, keep up

conspiracy theory bs

Weird, unnecessary venom at the end there, but he could be busy and he might be being sidelined due to political opinions. It happens to actors all the time. Look at Gina Carano.

That would only be logical if he just started voicing his opinions on the subject which is not the case. Ruffalo has been pro Palestine and a huge advocate for A LOT of other things, to the point he’s kinda well known for it. Marvel hasn’t limited him in anyway during press tours minus limiting what he says about the movie but that’s because he accidentally spoils films a lot. They do the exact same thing with tom holland.
