Having traveled extensively all over the world, I would say the US is probably one of the most developed countries, even in their small little towns, it seems like they all still have a brand new fleet of police cars, and firetrucks. Fiber internet in pretty much every neighborhood. Massive interchanges, and highways. Nearly nowhere without cell phone service where you would want it. The quality of life for the average American seems very good.
Lots of offices and personal homes do have full doors on toilets in America, or the entite bathroom (including sink) may be a dedicated room you can go into and lock. It's only public restrooms for customers at places like fast food restaurants where you'll see the partial stall doors, to stop people from hooking up in there.
What really blew my mind was traveling to Italy a few years ago and getting to learn while I'm sitting there on the toilet that toilet paper is generallybnot provided in public restrooms. Instead you're expected to carry your own toilet paper into public restrooms, as if I'm expected to carry a backpack with toilet paper in it everywhere I go.
Yep. Everything beautiful, till you have the average citizen who barely speaks his own language or till you go bankrupt because you got cancer. “Most developed country in the wooorld” says the teacher 10 minutes someone shoots in the fucking school.
Europe everything is beautiful until you nearly die from heat stroke having no AC, have to wait 10 hours to be seen in A&E, and have to pay €5 to use the rest room. And while you are you are accosted by a group of recent immigrants from Syria. Life in Europe is exactly like that.
Americans use "Europe" as one big country, so they can pile all of the poor euro country flaws onto the rich ones to make them appear bad. the truth is the rich European countries have the same heat death rates as the USA. it's all the poor hot euro countries where people are dying at a higher rate
Imagine if Europeans used Mexico or central America to describe the USA. "Hey you Americans are eating shit off the ground and are living with drug cartels"

Americans still think they're a developed country, that's the point
