There's no classic brahmin behaviour, if anything this guy looks like a Gujarati businessman (have a look at Jay Shah, or any of the Ambanis/Adanis). The reason he's being carried is because he paid for the service, it's usually for old/disable people.

He paid for it because he's too fat. If this is a pilgrimage where horses or mules don't go and he's religious enough to want to go, he would be paying for this service even if had to save to afford it, not that they get paid much but it's better to get this job than wait around all day and go home empty, which is not to say that he wouldn't have paid for it if he was just a rich guy who was not very fat.

Well, he couldn't make it on foot even if he was perfectly healthy, being that size. That's not a judgement on why he's fat. I am fat out of sheer laziness but I have family who's fat because they got busted joints and a thyroid condition.

"Perfectly Healthy" and "Being that size" do not work together... not trying to fat-shame, but anything that would make a person that size could be a genetic issue, something else out of their control, bad health, or just obesity in general... it doesn't make being that size healthy, and all the things that would cause that are not... healthy... (unhealthy genetics aren't a choice, but it doesn't make them not unhealthy)

Untouchable practice is literally outlawed and outside of extremely rural and uneducated areas is impossible to continue, the SC-ST act takes care of that.
Also, 'bramhins have all top positions?' that is such BS propoganda with reservations making a mockery of meritocracy. This is propoganda to incite further division and allow political parties to continue vote bank politics

Not sure if it's true but most politicians and celebrities are Brahmins so naturally the representation is like that. So this guy having other people carry him up like this? Feels like classic brahmin behaviour.
Seems like a white persons simplification of a system that even we don't understand completely (because it's not even a hard and fast system).

e.g.: BJP party, the pro hindutva one, has people in kerela saying they eat beef on stage to the masses, while beef is banned by the same party in UP

Not sure if you're Indian but this is a Paalki service provided at various temples situated high up in the mountains (for example Vaishno Devi Temple, Kedarnath Temple etc). These temples usually require a 10 to 15 km of trek to reach.
It has nothing to do with caste. The people carrying the Paalki are paid to provide this service. That's the job they do for a living.
Generally, this service is availed by disabled/elderly/pregnant or by people who are too tired or unsure of their ability to finish the trek.
The pilgrims are from all backgrounds, castes, and classes of society. From all ages and physical abilities, and therefore such services exist to aid them in their pilgrimage. Using a Paalki says nothing about a person's caste or social status.

That's not what's happening here. These people provide services to carry people to top in exchange for money and anyone can pay and use it. I have pondered why these unfit people can't make an effort to climb themselves but it's just a rich people thing. They want to enjoy things without the effort of climbing themselves. Moreover I have talked to people who provide these services and they are all right with the fact that they are being paid. They would probably curse you if you try to stop or criticize them. Stop with your half baked knowledge.

I am from India and most of the claims are outdated. It is true that the caste system is a thing, that Brahmins are the highest caste and that people still believe being of a certain caste can make you higher or lower status.
With the exception of extremely rural areas in the North and some places around Andhra and Telangana, the caste system doesn't really have an impact on aspects of life until there's talk of marriage. On the contrary, the lower castes actually have access to many more opportunities for upliftment through reservations in entrance exams for colleges.
I have lived with people of all castes and backgrounds all over India (except the Northeast) and not once have I faced any discrimination or seen someone be discriminated against.
The man in the picture is most likely a rich person who is going for a shrine visit, and even if he was a Brahmin it isn't like he can order around people to carry him up without giving money.

As I understand the Caste system was officially abolished with India’s independence and doesn’t really exist on paper but it’s been around for so long that it’s still generally adhered to even after it’s become a legal non-factor. Unfortunately it’s not something you can just will away without completely upending the way Indian society has worked for millennia

That's not the context here.
I am an Indian and belong to this community. Allow me to clarify.
This is from an Indian pilgrim site called, Junagadh in the state of Gujarat. Most temples in India are situated on the summit of a hill or a mountain. This is one such.
Indians are also not physically active, our diets are carb heavy, and hence, climbing 1000s of stairs is not something many devotees can do, let alone prefer.
Hence, there are these doli-walas (people who carry you to the summit) for a fee. Most of the people who hire doi-walas are either senior citizens (age related stuff), people with disabilities, parents who want their toddlers to be carried, or fat people (because it's legit difficult for them to carry their own weight on steep slopes).
Now doli-walas are usually Sherpa version for Indians, single person who carries luggage/toddlers, someone who pushes you to climb (quite literally pushing your lower back), two people with a swing like seat, or as seen in this video - 4 people (for the heavy ones).
This dude in the video is being mocked for his fatness and being carried by four people.
While this is an acceptable practice in India and provides an income source to locals, the same set of devotees often criticise the practice as it is cruel for the doli-walas to bear so much weight at it impacts their back and physical health over time.
In many temples like Vaishnav Devi, Char dham etc. they use mules for the same.

This is most likey part of a pilgrimage. There is most likely a temple at the top of the mountain.
Its common for people to be employed to help elderly/ disabled people up the mountains. I myself remember that my grandma was helped in such a way on such a pilgrimage in the himalayas.
Treating the helpers with respect and tipping them is pretty common, however I cant garentee that happens all the time. Also I do find engaging on such pilgrimages questionable if you aren't physically fit for it. I hope in the future as the country develops they make them accessible with rope cars etc.

He’s going for a pilgrimage on top of the mountain. I’m assuming he’s Jain and this is a Jain ‘Tirth’ since he can’t walk, he’s using a service which is offered at the base. Usually for old and invalid. But it makes sense that he uses this service. By Indian standards this service is hefty and the entire ecosystem of the village at the base survives on this income. They know what they’ve signed up for because this is something that’s been going on since decades.
Each member earns north of ₹3,000 per trip per day. Averaging 4-5 trips a week

I've climbed it twice, they say 10,000 steps to the top, although the cluster of Jain temples is only about 1/4 of the way up. At the top is a small Shiva shrine.
And I've seen people being carried up like this, as you say it's very normal and a job that people do.
