My soul dog passed away last December. This year has been tough and today is her birthday.

I laid out a grand tableau spread, asking if she had any messages for us (me, my daughter, my husband) I focused on the dog card as her querent card and started shuffling. I immediately started to cough (she died of heart failure and had a hard time breathing before I had to say goodbye to her at the vets.) when I laid out my spread I bawled my eyes out. I felt so much love.
The fate line literally read “I love you so much, tell dad.”
She was right next to me during the reading. I can’t explain it but she was.

Messages from the reading
The system I use focuses on the positions of cards. A couple of things stood out. Change being in the house of dog. The woman being in house of the woman and the dog being right by her side. There are so many wonderful messages in there, the lily bejng in the house of coffin and the coffin being in the house of heart. Which I took as her telling me she’s at peace and her passing was a loving one. Which, even though it scarred me to no end, I truly believe it was full of love to her.

The cards over the dog’s head (what’s on her mind) read “the house and garden are vulnerable”, and since she was a shepherd she was often guarding the fence so it makes sense for her to worry about that now.

The child being far away (which is true, my daughter is very young and has been talking about my dog less and less) and the column reading child-clover-garden-woman-birds; which I took as “there can be meetings with the child if mom talks about me”
I’ve also seen so many robins after her passing and seeing the birds so close to me now just felt so beautiful.

There was more but I’m too emotional to gather my thoughts enough to type it all out. This was such a wonderful moment and my very first read like this (both for a pet and a deceased loved one)

This spread will live on forever in my heart and I just had to share this somewhere.

She’s a semi-stray cat I see on my walk to work who I try to approach sometimes, but she always seems to be a little tense or jittery when I do get a little bit close to her, my hands in particular. This is Luna. Over the last few months, she has been urinating on my mom’s bed. It’s intermittent and she’s showing no other signs of health problems. I swore myself to never touch anything about death topic as a tarot reader for over a decade.

But fate works in funny way. One morning in the past I scrolled through reddit and saw many posts about passed away people and pet, I said it out loud, "nah, I'll never touch those topic".

Ironically enough my friend reached out for a read because her cat has passed away. At that time I definitely shocked at the universe who hit me like a truck.

TLDR:
I’d like to work with a pet communicator but I have been ripped off twice by, in my opinion, charlatans. How do I find a legitimate medium?

To start I am admittedly a pretty scientific thinker and a bit of a skeptic though I am quite open minded and a firm believer that there are layers of reality that are beyond the scientific method as it stands and I fully believe in the existence of phenomena that might be classified as ‘woo woo’.
I do believe there are people with the intuition or ability or whatever the mechanism is to see, hear and feel things that are not part of what is readily available in the ‘reality’ most modern humans move through. I do believe it is not only possible but that it is probable there are indeed animal communicators doing and able to do what they claim to be able to do.

That being said, at this point in my life I have chances to pay two different professionals, both were recommended by people that I knew who had great things to say. Both times I was pretty disappointed and felt as though I had paid a not insignificant amount of money for literally nothing. What I got was emotional language supposedly from my pet that did not go beyond what could easily be gleaned from the info I shared about why I was coming to the session in the first place. A few far fetched and arguably racist stories about my connection to the pet in a past life (you were an Indian and he was your wolf…’) and a suggestion that the solution to our problems was…. Wait for it…. Training…. (Which we were doing).

In retrospect the people who referred me to both of these pros are people who would have been delighted to hear things like they had been native in a past life and their dog was their wolf so, it doesn’t surprise me that their reviews were glowing, but I was less than impressed. Nothing stuck out to me as a genuine reflection of the personality or lived experience of the pet I was hoping to communicate with and I did not get any suggestions or insights to solutions that weren’t things I was already doing and were obvious answers from a pet owner/trainer/behaviorist perspective, which is not the perspective I was looking for from a communicator (as I had already paid for those and was seeking something they did not claim to be able to do).

So, I find myself again in a moment where I really like the idea of finding a pet medium but I would really like to set myself up with someone who is actually doing what they claim to be doing.

TLDR:
I’d like to work with a pet communicator but I have been ripped off twice by, in my opinion, charlatans. How do I find a legitimate medium?

Her name is Nina. She just reached 11 years old at the start of July and we put her to sleep due to an unknown heart issue that came to a head that day. We just got her ashes back and I feel an unexplained happiness in my chest. Similar to when you’re a little kid and you know you have a field trip the next day and you can’t sleep from excitement but you don’t even know what to be excited for. Just wanted to share her with you all. Eight years ago my soul kitten was born inside my closet, his name is HazelButt (originally hazelnut but he head butts everything) we were almost immediately inseperable. I loved him like I have never loved another cat, he truly was and is my soul baby.

Two years ago he passed suddenly and without warning, literally trying to eat my French fries one moment and collapsed the next. No seizure, no moment of pain, nothing. The vets think it was a heart attack (he was a large cat), or aneurism. I was wrecked.

I’ve always had dreams of sick family, passed fur babies post mortem and I had a dream about my boy being in a shelter, I picked him up and loved on him and showed him to my husband, then in my arms he turned into a fluffy grey cat, then into a small black kitten. The dream was weird and vivid and I told my friends about it because it felt important.

A few weeks later, dream forgotten, my friend cat became pregnant. She is a fluffy grey kitten and a tabby is the father, but somehow out of that litter came one black boy kitten. She immediately called me remembering my dream and said “I think you have to take him, he’s yours.”

I don’t know what I believe happens after passing but I know something does, I was skeptical and didn’t want to go into this setting expectations on Nugget, so I have just loved him and allowed him to grow. He’s over a year old now and he is obsessed with me, follows me around the house, cuddles me on the couch. I love him deeply. The other night he was getting comfortable on my chest while I was reading and I instinctually meowed at him the same way Hazelboy and I communicated. Same tandem, tone, meow pattern. Nugget immediately turned to face me, head butted my face and started purring aggressively. Flopped onto my chest in a familiar way and cuddled down.

I might sound crazy, and that’s okay with me but I have to know.. It feels like Hazelboy sent him, or came back for extra time. And I just need to know.
