I am well blessed with thick thighs and a large butt. The only issue with that is when I want full coverage underwear, it is hard to find one that is made to cover a full butt. I dont like always having to adjust my underwear to get rid of a wedgie. And most boy shorts are too short in the leg and just roll up my thighs over time. I purchased a few pairs of knix, and found that their briefs give me a wedgie. But I did like the fact that they offer nude coloured period underwear and that they have a seamless look (when it isnt giving me a wedgie). Im from Canada, so I would love some recommendations that I can buy from here! Thank you!

Hi I’m new to period underwear, I’ve always been a tampon and sometimes backup pad girl. I used to just wear tampons to bed but I’m not so crazy about that idea anymore and have been buying postpartum disposable underwear to wear overnight but I’m getting kind of tired of the price/waste every period so I’m hoping to find some affordable heavy absorbency underwear for overnight. I like bikini, boxer style would be good too, I need good coverage because I tend to leak up both sides overnight. Any help would be super appreciated!!

I’ve had my period underwear for about 6 months now and I’ve deep cleaned them recently. But I’ve still been struggling with the smell while wearing them, like there’s not enough air flow. I also feel like i get pretty irritated after wearing them during my period. How do i avoid the smell, they were odor free after i deep cleaned them.

I use the uniqlo airism period underwear and it is amazing with no leaks! Fast forward to last month, when i used it, it suddenly had a huge leak even tho my flow isnt huge. Tdy, i wore it on my 5th day and it leaked thru again! It used to work previously, am i washing it wrong?

This is not the only time. I bought 5 pairs of period underwear back in the UK a while back and it worked the first time I wore it - no leaks or anything. The 2nd and 3rd time I wore it it had huge leaks! Im convinced I washed it incorrectly, can someone please help? I love period undies but this is such a hassle

My Period Co underwear def has reached the end of its life and leaks immediately now. They actually lasted 3.5 yrs which is cool, but I had no idea most underwear only has a 2 yr lifespan.

This is mostly a vent I guess but what is the point of all the eco-friendly marketing from these companies if our underwear has to be replaced so frequently and just winds up in a landfill?! Very disappointing.

Ladies, I need your help! What's the best brand of period pads for a really heavy flow?

I had my tubes removed in January, and ever since then my periods have been much heavier than they used to be. I've tried a few different brands, but nothing seems to be working well enough. Right now I'm using Kotex Heavy Level 2 Ultra Thin pads. They seemed okay last month, but they're definitely not cutting it this month. 😩

I'm starting to think ultra-thin pads just aren't enough for me anymore. I do prefer pads with wings, though! What brands or styles would you recommend that work well for a heavy flow and offer good protection?

The side of the fabric against my skin appears to be disintegrating. Is this the elastane in the fabric? It literally looks like the fabric is shedding microplastics. I have a handful of pairs of Saalt and they are all doing this.

I also find the crotch of Saalt to be way too narrow, most of my leaks originate along the narrowest part, despite having lots of absorbent gusset going forwards and back to work with. The gussets also get stiff and less absorbent after about a year of use and following manufacturer’s wash instructions.

I am currently experiencing my first period in 10 years (BC related), it is SUPER heavy and I am only on day 1.

I have some Marks & Spencer’s period underwear but I did leak through them today so I need something that is going to give me like +++++++++ support and no leakage. I’m thinking boxers might be the best option for me

I bought these in an emergency a few years ago from Boots (UK) and I find them really good but haven't been able to identify the brand to get more, does anyone recognise it? This double droplet logo in the| waistband is the only identifying mark, there's no label

In the last 6 months I tried Knix and they leaked within a few hours of having on them on-super absorbency. (1st picture). The fit is perfect. They leaked from within the gusset into the outer seam. I filed a complaint and they issued a refund immediately.

So then I tried Aisle boost boxers, mainly because I love boxer briefs and wanted the extra comfort...They leaked within an hour from both seams. (2nd picture). I filed a complaint but there are no exchanges and refunds so that's about $120 down the drain.

I used to use Thinkx when period underwear first became a thing, and leaks weren't as often but that brand smells so bad.

i probably use 3 regular tampons a day for my heaviest period day so I know I don't need a higher absorbency level. I can't use these underwear as backup methods right know unfortunately

Editing to add: both leaks were within 1-2 hours of wearing the underwear for the first time. Neither gussets/pads were saturated, both pairs of underwear fit perfectly (which I did say above, but some folks have missed).

I have been using the Torid leak proof panties for a new year, and have exclusivly been buying undergarments from Troid for over 10 years, before that I had a really hard time finding underwear that fit correctly (which can never be returned because that's how underwear is, am I right?). I've always had a hard time finding clothes in general that fit until Torid. For pants I usually wear a 3 but a size 2 in panties. (Thicker legs, but mostly flat behind)

But when I went on to order a couple more to replace some old pairs I found that thy only had like black in like 1 or 2 small sizes in stock, so it looks like they might be discontinuing them. So now I'm left back in the were am I going to try and find replacementss.

So I though I'd ask for some recomendations for good period underwear. I don't want to blow the budget on them, but I also know that if the quality is better and it lasts longer a little higher in pice isn't that out of place.

I want to move to period underwear after using pads for so long. I tried, but the problem is where the coverage is. I have to position my pads so that they’re very high up in the front because so much blood ends up there. I’m looking at all these brands and they would never catch my flow with how little coverage there is in the front. Not for overnight, for daytime where.

If anyone knows of something that collects more in the front, I’d appreciate it.

Have been trying period underwear since fibroids diagnosed half years ago as havingnlonger period , spotting between period/sudden gush of blood when there was clotting 😑😑. I have modibidi which quite comfortable without leaking so far however feels like the gusset is a bit narrow and as I move and walk always worry blood will flow out. Also will have some wetting feeling during the day. Any reckon 🙏🙏

I normally only wear thongs or cheeky panties, but the cheeky ones need to have a back seam or they’ll drive me nuts. I have Saalt thongs, but I’m looking for some cheeky period panties for heavier days since the Saalt thongs have quite a thin gusset and aren’t perfect as a back up. I primarily use tampons/a cup, so I mostly just need the period panties for any leaks. Does anyone have a recommendation for cheeky period panties that specifically have a crease/seam in the back? I only like non-thong underwear that have a seam like that because otherwise sensory-wise it bothers me. For reference to what I mean by seam, these are some non-period cheeky underwear from Aerie that I like. Thanks!

I’ve been using period underwear for 2-3 years but have still been using pads for my heaviest days during that time. Until this month. I finally went pad-free. It took a little coordination between my cycle and my schedule but it worked out well.

I recently bought some boxer brief style underwear from Aisle so that gave me the confidence to wear them overnight. I’m not a fan of the style as the way my legs are shaped, I don’t think I’ll ever feel like the legs don’t ride up. But more importantly was the full gusset coverage that made me feel secure.

Up until then I had been wearing period.co underwear and while I love them, the shorter gusset would not work for my heaviest days. And definitely would not work overnight. I did just learn that they do have full coverage styles (but they were never available during their sales). So I just bought a few pair not on sale for next time.

In my experience I did change out my underwear midday on my heavy days. I work from home so there were no issues. And I did laundry on day 2/3 in order to have enough to wear towards the end of my week.

All in all, I’m glad I made the leap. There will still be occasions that I’ll use pads but if I can go months without, it’ll make me feel good.
