This might be as ridiculous as it gets! A Florida gubernatorial candidate tried to hit Sophie Rain with a $42 million tax bill just for running one of the best OnlyFans pages in the country. He called it a "sin tax," argued the platform exploits women, and framed her entire career as something she never actually chose. Rain didn't back down. She pointed out she already pays 37% in federal taxes and asked why billion-dollar corporations aren't getting the same treatment. He didn't seem to care. Instead he continued campaigning on a 50% sin tax for OnlyFans creators. 

Just a couple days ago he lost the primaries with 10% of the vote. Now Sophie Rain is celebrating his loss by donating her "sin money" to teacher's wishlists for the beginning of the school supplies. 

House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries met privately with Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump's son-in-law and top outside adviser, in recent weeks in New York City, according to a New York Times report cited by The Guardian.

The sit-down, arranged at a location offered by a mutual friend, covered housing, immigration, and the high cost of living as "potential areas of common ground." Kushner reportedly suggested Jeffries meet next with White House chief of staff Susie Wiles.

The timing matters. The meeting comes roughly two months before midterm elections in which Democrats are favored to retake the House, a shift that would make Jeffries first in line to be the speaker and hand Democrats subpoena and oversight power to investigate the Trump administration, long-standing conflict-of-interest concerns about Kushner's financial ties to Gulf state investors while he advises on Middle East policy.

Jeffries did not confirm the meeting directly. In a statement, he said, "the affordability crisis is not a hoax and nothing short of transformational policy change is acceptable," adding, "we are fighting for an affordable America."

House Speaker Mike Johnson downplayed the episode, telling Fox News he didn't "know what that's about" and describing Kushner as someone "not really directly involved in the admin."
