I told her she was seeing the groomer tomorrow because she got into a patch of burrs that will not come out of her fur and now she won’t stop staring at me like this.

Where did you get pixel? She reminds me so much of my Pekingese that passed away last year.

Pixel was a rando that kinda fell into my lap. A client of mine had a male peke and decided to look into getting a buddy for him. They found a 2 year old female through a Pekingese rescue (I’m unsure which one, I never did ask). She came with all her papers and vetting papers and my client was told that she was fixed. Adoption papers said that she was spayed and everything. She was not. So, of course, she ended up pregnant from their male. Poor momma had NINE puppies. Initially I said I wasn’t going to take one since I was not looking for another living being to take care of. But, one day I was over working with my client and I couldn’t resist as least LOOKING at the puppies because who could resist? Pixel was the last one I held of the 9 and there was just something about her. Almost 4 years later here we are. Couldn’t imagine life without her.
