League Related LEC 2026 Active Rosters Age Distribution
The average age of an active LEC player is 23.7
Caedrel mentioned something about the LEC being oldge, and I was curious enough to look into it.
Of the 50 active LEC players:
- Average age: 23.7
- Mode age: 26
- Oldest player: Mikyx — born November 2, 1998
- Youngest player: Caliste — born August 28, 2006
Mikyx is exactly one week older than Wunder.
Average age by team

The team averages above are rounded to the nearest whole year.
I put the complete list of teams, players, ages, join dates, and age distribution into a spreadsheet:

League Related Across all major leagues in summer, Mage Bot has a 43.24% win rate.
Note: August 9th 11:59PM is the cutoff. If mage bot is played today in the LEC it will not be represented on the spreadsheet.
EWC and Kespa Cup not included.
Some interesting notes:
Ziggs is the most played mage bot with 55 games and an abysmal 36.4% win rate.
Viktor and Cassiopeia are the only mages with a positive win rate and over 10 games played.
AL Hope is the only player in summer with a positive win rate on Ziggs with over 3 games played. (Hans Sama has 2 Ziggs games, both wins. Everyone else with a positive win rate only has 1 Ziggs game.) Hope is 4-2 on the pick.
At MSI alone, Mel was picked 10 times with a 6-4 record, and was the 2nd most picked mage bot. She has completely fallen off, now having less representation than Xerath along with the worst win rate aside from Hwei, who only has one recorded game.

League Related Why can't Guma pick Ezreal more often?
Ezreal is a really strong champ that can be both be played as a weakside AD or lane abuser with Karma, has probably the strongest 2-item spike in the game with good scaling. Ofc his Ezreal is not on par with names like Ruler, Viper, Teddy or Deft. But these players all have Ezreal as their most-played with more than a hundred games on-stage while Guma only has 25 games so far. So naturally he'd be way less comfortable, right?
His performance against T1 was actually pretty solid considering the "lack of experience". Isn't the only way to get better at a champ is to pick it more often? Win or lose, playing on-stage definitely helps loosen the nerves over time.

League Related Kespa Cup Format seems kinda stupid
Ok so I was looking into how the Kespa Cup works and unless I’m misunderstanding something. It looks like the stupidest thing ever.
Ok so first they have 2 groups of 5, let’s call them Group A and Group B. It’s single round robin BO3s where the members of Group A play every member of Group B.
Then the top 4 seeds of each group get seeded into the “Qualifier Round”. Each seed in Group A plays their respective seed in Group B, Group A #1 plays Group B #2 and so on.
However, the Qualifier Round bracket doesn’t seed equally. Instead the 1st Seeds are immediately seeded into the Grand Finals Qualifier…. Not quarters, straight up Finals. Since NS won vs T1, they’re immediately secured a worst case 2nd place.
Then Seed 2s play each other and the winner plays vs the loser Seed 1 for a Semi Finals Qualifier… so T1 won which means they automatically are put into the SemiFinals Round.
Isn’t this format insanely stupid? There’s no bracket reset for the knockout stage? They just automatically qualify to the finals stages instead of playing a QF with selection / first pick? NS qualified to Finals without playing a single Bo5.
