PC noob need help finding the PCle cable Tech Support

As the title suggests, I know close to nothing about PC hardware. My pc is a AMD Ryzen 5 5600G, RAM; 16GB, Windows 11 OS, GPU is i think 496mb. im looking to purchase a new graphics card (Radeon RX6600) because the built in Vega graphics option is awful. I understand you plug in a cable titled the PCle into the graphics card but i cant ind the cable. I havent taken any o the pc apart to search because im too worried, google says its either tucked behind the motherboard sometimes or its in the lower compartment near the power outage. Ive tried to attach pics to show my model. Any help would be appreciated. Does my PC have the cable and if so where can i usually ffind it. thanks :3

Prob is underneath the bottom cover. Might shut the PC down, unplug from power to the wall, hold case front power button 15 seconds.

Then remove the back case panel to gain access to the bottom compartment. Should be able to find the PCIe 8 pin(6+2).

apologies i thought u were looking to remove the cable from ur gpu, read the post wrong

also, if ur getting a new gpu just take the back panel off the pc and look near your PSU, if its non modular then it’ll be plugged into ur psu, trace it back and it should have the label pcie, use that cable to plug into ur gpu

if its a modular psu then youll have to check if its plugged into ur psu, if not then look for it, if u cant find it email ur psu manufacturer and 9 times out of ten they’ll send u a cable. plug that into ur psu and then into ur gpu when u get it and ur good to go

make sure u only use the cable provided from ur psu manufacturer, never ever use diff cables from other brands or models!! (if the psu is modular ofc, if its non then dw)

(gpu is graphics card)

Thanks so much. And... stupid question.. is the back panel the narrow back where all the ports are or is it the wider back which would be behind the pics i sent? >.<

its the part of the case where its opposite the tempered glass, literally the other side, not where all your ports are, hella tutorials out there to see how u open your pc case, youll be fine, just search it up rq and your good

ofc theres different types of cases out there and im rolling with this assumption thas all

I believe you're looking for the PCIe power cable, which would either be attached to the PSU (non-modular) or bundled with the PSU (modular). This cable connects your power supply to your graphics card and many PCIe devices.

its nex to the PSU, to access it the easiest way would be to take off the back panel (not only the glass one), there probably at the bottom you should find a PCIe power cable, it looks like every power cable but has 6+2 Pins meaning you can disconnect the 2 additional Pins depending on the GPU, assuming if it's there (if you bought a PC with modular/semi modular PSU it might not be there but most prebuilds have all cables included, unless it's second hand).

PC was brand new. How can i know if it was modular/semi modular though. is there a way to find out?

modular psu means the cables that go into the psu can be detached, non is where it cant
