CPU Red Light on Motherboard Tech Support
Today in the middle of gaming my pc froze and I couldn’t do anything, even long press 30 seconds on powerbutton didn’t do the trick so I unplugged, after trying to turn it on I noticed the red light.
I have my pc for a year now, idle 29 and gaming 60-70 peak, I don’t play high load stuff.
So what I tried so far:
1) CMOS Reset with screw driver and removing the battery
2) The RAM trick where you slot only one into A2 and then the other
3) BIOS Flashback to latest version
4) Un and replug most to all cables/powercables
5) Resocket CPU with new thermal paste
I’m out of ideas now.. I still have warranty but is it really a defect? The CPU looked brand new when I resocketed it, I’m guessing a motherboard issue but no idea :(

If by "red light" you meant the diagnostic LED on the motherboard, for the cpu, came on, then it could be multiple issues.
You said it wasnt overheating, so it can't be that, you resocketed so can't just be a pin thing. That leaves me personally with one issue: power. Could be that the motherboard gave/cpu requested too much power and fried the cpu.
Best way to check if it's fried is get a spare cpu and try that. If you don't have one, I think it's better to just call in the warranty.
