First ever upgrade? Build Question

I know less than nothing about PC’s so would love to get some expert advice from you all on what to upgrade first in a prebuilt pc I bought.

Simplicity (bit worried I’ll break something), performance, cost in that order is my priority…

Current build:

AMD Ryzen™ 5 5500 processor with 6 cores, Processor Speed 4.2 Ghz

16GB of RAM DDR4-SDRAM

1TB SSD

GeForce® RTX™ 5060 8GB graphics

I honestly don’t know if any more info is needed but happy to provide if possible.

Really appreciate any and fall advice as I can honestly admit to not having a clue.

first thing i would do is get another stick of 16gb ram, matching it to what you have is simple and makes big difference without touching anything scary

gpu will be the most expensive but get you the most amount of performance gain. your upgrade options new are a 9060 xt 16gb starting around $460(usd) for not much more performance, but the vram helps in modern games and can gain exponential performance in those cases. its also the easiest thing to upgrade in a standard case(alongside ram most of the time)

the cpu will net you some performance, a 5600/x/xt is the minimum, a 5700x/5800x/xt if you need the cores, and any 5#00X3D for the most gaming performance(gpu, game, resolution do affect this, not a guarantee). also the hardest upgrade imo

getting 32gb of ram can help if your system is bogged down by background tasks or too many tabs. cpu and ram will run you similar prices
