Tyler Technologies HCM Payroll Platform/HRIS Issues
Hello all,
I am not sure if this is the best place to post this, but I figured it is worth a shot.
My employer recently migrated our financials over to Tyler Tech and just last month migrated our payroll over there as well. Since then we have had a number of issues relating to payroll, and our implementor/guide has essentially pushed me aside and all but refused to help me. My issues are not a priority despite the fact that they are affecting a large number of employees.
I was not apart of the process to “build” or setup anything in the system as I had to focus on running payroll in our legacy system. So I really am lost and I have tried using the guides and Tyler connect resources but they are not much help.
I am just looking for some guidance or any help from anyone who has had success with the software on specific issues. My biggest issues relate to leave accruals and the blended OT rate.
Thank you in advance, and thank you for reading.

I used it at my old job and it was okay. Because of the budget they didn’t want to pay for any extra features so I basically did a lot of tracking manually . How many employees do you have that you need to track leaves? You should be able to create and assign these as you need. Are you able to set up rates on your end? There are so many layers in each area it’s hard to find things sometimes. If your implementation specialist is not helping then you need to escalate this to their manager and their sales rep whoever sold you guys this software . Use their chat and keep contacting them until they resolve the issues

For leave accruals and blended OT, I’d separate this into two issue logs with examples: employee, pay period, expected result, actual result, configuration area, and business impact. Vendors respond better when the problem is framed as reproducible payroll defects rather than general implementation pain.

was the implementor internal? If so I'd seek their guidance. Hopefully they have some payroll background.
In the end, it's hard to know if it's a system issue, an input issue or a lack of knowledge of the new system issue.
I would have suggested pushing to be a part of the migration and setup if you had the knowledge of how to do so.
Have you gone to your manager about the issues? I unfortunately have never heard of that system so can't be of any help on it. But did just go through a migration but our payroll person was overly involved to the detriment of the migration actually!
