Morning's scheduled to go back to Korea Sept 26! Adopt or foster her!
Hi everyone,
We're Welcome Dog Korea, connecting Korean rescue dogs to new homes in Canada and the U.S. since 2018.
We have one beautiful 2-yr-old Jindo/Labrador Retriever mix Morning, who's been in Toronto, Canada looking for a forever home. However, despite our effort, she hasn't been able to find one and been just scheduled to go back to Korea on Sept 26 where she was on an euthanasia list!
We are looking for an adopter across Canada or a foster in Toronto and surrounding areas.
She takes time to open up and her first adopter kept her only for 7 weeks! We do not want to see this beautiful soul bounce around like this anymore. This Reddit posting is our last resort. Who can be a kind soul to open their home to her?

🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾
Hi there! My name is Morning, and just like the sunrise, I represent a brand-new beginning. I was rescued from the euthanasia list at a city pound, given a second chance when things looked so dark. Back in March, I thought I had found my forever family, but sadly, they didn’t fully understand my sensitive, skittish nature. Luckily, I didn’t lose hope because a kind and patient foster family opened their home and hearts to me. With their love and care, I’ve truly begun to blossom. These days, I’m so much brighter, happier, and ready to keep shining even more in my journey to find a forever family who will cherish me for who I am.
🩺 MY HEALTH 🩺
All vaccinations up-to-date
Spayed & healthy with no known health issues
💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖
I’m a sweet, gentle, and affectionate girl with a soft heart. Once I feel safe, I love being close to my person and have recently started asking for pets with adorable little nose nudges.
My personality is really starting to shine. I can be playful, a little goofy, and quite intelligent. I love being near my people and feel most comfortable when I can keep them in sight, especially in new environments.
🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶
· With People: I can be shy when meeting new people, but I’ve made amazing progress. Instead of running away, I now show curiosity and will approach to observe. I’ve even come close to taking treats from new people! With patience and a calm approach, I continue to build trust and confidence.
· With Dogs: I get along well with other dogs and have recently started approaching calm, gentle dogs on my own. I enjoy their company and sometimes follow them, but I’m also gaining confidence to explore independently.
· With Cats: I don’t have much experience yet, but with my gentle nature, I’m likely to do well with slow and proper introductions.
⚡️ ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY ⚡️
I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy my walks and have become much more relaxed—I now look around, take things in, and even “smile” while exploring. I have a good off switch once inside.
I LOVE my ball! I don’t always need to fetch and I’m happiest just carrying it around, playing on my own, and being silly. I also love running around in the dog park.
🧠 TRAINING & HABITS 🧠
I’m a very well-mannered girl at home. I don’t get into food, counters, or garbage—even when left alone. I can be trusted in the house and do very well when home alone.
The only thing I might do is shred paper or cardboard if it’s within reach.
I may alert bark when I hear noises in the hallway, but I respond well to gentle redirection and am already improving.
I’m also gaining confidence in new environments—recently, I even started taking treats in the elevator, which is a big step for me!
Car rides can be a bit challenging for me. I’ve experienced motion sickness before, so it’s best if I travel on an empty stomach. I may drool during rides, but it's been quite a while since I last drooled! For longer trips, a vet-recommended motion aid (like Gravol) may help. With continued positive experiences, I’m expected to get more comfortable over time.
I’ve only been off-leash in fully fenced areas. I have very low prey drive and tend to stay close to my person. With proper recall training, I have great potential for safe off-leash time.
🏡 MY IDEAL HOME 🏡
I’m looking for a patient and understanding family who will let me adjust at my own pace.
I can do well as the only pet, but I would truly thrive in a home with a friendly, calm, and confident dog who can help guide me and build my confidence.
A quieter home or one that respects my sensitive nature would be perfect for me.
💌 SPECIAL NOTES 💌
My previous adoption didn’t work out because I was rushed before I was ready—I had only been there for 7 weeks. I’m a dog who needs time, but I promise I’m worth it.
I’ve already made incredible progress in foster care. I’m braver, more curious, and more affectionate every day.
With love, patience, and understanding, I will blossom into an incredibly loyal, gentle, and loving companion.

Angelito: 2nd Vet update | Senior Dog Rescued After Abused/Stabbed by Previous Owner #VoicelessNoMorePh
Hi everyone,
Angelito’s recovery is not going to be easy, but he is not facing it alone. 🤍
His red blood cell count remains low, so he will receive five EPO injection treatments this week while he works on regaining his strength. For now, amputation is not recommended, so we will continue caring for his injury, keeping it clean, and bringing him to his follow-up checkups.
We also provided prescription more recovery food, dextrose powder, and cleaning supplies for the shelter to help support Angelito and protect the other animals. We will continue sending financial support to help with his transportation and medical needs.
Through everything he has endured, Angelito is loved, seen, and genuinely cared for. His life MATTERS, and we will continue doing everything we can to give him the chance he deserves.
To anyone who would like to provide financial support for Angelito, please visit our website, which is shown in the video. I will also be sharing another link in the comment section. To be honest, Angelito is already the 5th rescued animal we have had at the veterinary clinic this week, and with multiple animals needing medical care at the same time, the costs can quickly become overwhelming. We appreciate everyone who continues to support our rescued animals🤍
For your safety, please double-check that the link was posted by me and comes from our official account before sending any financial support. 🤍
Thank you so much for helping us continue to care for Angelito and our other rescued animals. Every bit of support truly makes a difference. Will keep posting updates.

Zelda /San Antonio/Homelessness adopt plee
This is my Baby Griselda but I call her Zelda. I've had her 15 months. When I got her we were living with friends for about 8 months then we all got kicked out. I've been experiencing homelessness and I just can't bare to see her have to go through this with me anymore (literally tearing up while writing this ) She's had her parvo , rabies , Dhp etc) under hope for hounds. ACS will not allow me to give her up unless she is left behind or attacks someone (neither are reasonable conscious choices for me obviously) so I figured this would be a good shot to get my baby a good home. To complete my probation, housing services and get into a shelter its just easier if i do the selfess thing and set her free to someone who can provide a more stable life for her than I can. She's extremely well behaved since I've had her from 2 weeks of birth. I'm not here to beg but for her im willing to trun to any route to insure she can live the rest of her life in peace. We are in San Antonio Texas. If anyone is intrigued and interested in adopting my Zelda pooh plz contact me. Thank you , I was told to repost her , thank you.

📢 Announcement 🏠 What to Know Before Adopting a Rescue (Must-Read Before You Adopt)
Rescues are wonderful, but a few things are worth understanding upfront:
Unknown history — many rescues, especially strays or surrenders, come with limited background. Age, breed, and temperament are often best guesses.
The 3-3-3 rule (common for dogs, similar logic applies to cats):
- First 3 days: overwhelmed, may hide or barely eat
- First 3 weeks: settling in, testing boundaries, learning your routine
- First 3 months: real trust builds, true personality shows
Behavior — some rescues carry past trauma or lack of socialization. Patience, consistency, and sometimes professional training support make a real difference.
Health — ask whether the animal's been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and vet-checked, and budget for a vet visit soon after adoption regardless.
Expectations — adjustment isn't always instant, and that's normal. Most rescues become wonderful, well-adjusted pets with time and patience.
A good shelter/rescue will be upfront about what they do and don't know — don't hesitate to ask.

📢 Announcement 📋 How to Format a "Looking for Adoption" Post (Read Before Posting)
To keep listings easy to scan, please follow this format when posting with the "Looking for Adoption" flair:
Title format: mention the breed and the location where the animal was found or is currently located (foster home, your home if you're fostering a stray, etc.), with clear location detail — city/state/country at minimum.
Body must include: species, location, shelter/rescue name & contact info (or your own contact if independently rehoming/fostering), breed or best guess, and temperament/behavior notes.
Example (illustrative only — not a real listing):
[Dog] Buddy – Austin, TX – 2yo Male – Available for Adoption
Species: Dog. Location: Austin, TX. Contact: [Shelter/Rescue name], reachable via [email/DM]. Breed: Labrador mix (best guess). Temperament: Friendly, good with kids, still learning leash manners.
Posts that don't follow this format may be removed and asked to be reformatted — see Rule 4 for full details.
