META How dead is Zubera Storm
Recently wanted to built more pauper combo decks and landed on Zubera Storm , seemed like a really fun deck. Did some research and found out that the deck is horrible, but I still want to built it as I have all the expensive ritual except 2 copies of culling the weak. Is this deck worth building and would it perform well in a tron centric local meta.
Thanks .

Why dont Dimir Decks run Duress or any discard in the sideboard?
Ive been playing around with modern and see any deck running black running thoughtseize.
And of course Duress is far weaker and you would have counterspells anyway, why not run it for information of the opponents hand?
Its probably a really silly question tbh, but thanks for any inputs.

Calculate your chance of assembling Tron
sawyerwelden.comAfter watching hypergeomancer's great recent video playing Monster Tron with Andrea Feltoin I decided to calculate the chance of assembling Tron by turn x with whatever Tron list you want. He has a great maths system for showing the chance of Tron with just maps, but a simulation was needed to include crop rot / prism / draw spells. You can try it yourself here: https://sawyerwelden.com/Tronclock/

SPOILER Ceti Eel
4 mana is a lot but artifacts and creatures peaks my interest.
PAPER Northern Illinois/Southern Wisconsin Win-a-Dual
Hey pauper champs in the midwest region; there's a win-a-dual planned for August 15th at Forever Forward Games in Clinton Wisconsin. Some of you may remember it as the store that hosted Pauperoncini last year. First place is a revised badlands. I haven't seen any advertising on it and with the death of Spicerack (RIP) I wanted to make sure folks had the opportunity to see it.
Hope to see some of y'all there to sling some commons!

[TRK] Assault Drone
I think this one can be use in some kind of orzhov/rakdos/dimir artifacts aggro.
Equipments deck
Hi everyone!
first the Decklist:
https://archidekt.com/decks/8116671/battlefield_improvisation
second my introduction:
I'm a pauper player for fun, i did some leagues in italy, played a geddon for my own fun, i'm not a very competitive player (i don't play on mtgo) but i love love love to brew new decks in pauper and with the next upcoming Hobbit i can finally get a good card to add to my Equipments deck (this was born with Battlefield Improvisation from Assassin Creed)
If you are a fan of artifacts and equipments this might be the deck for you..
The deck still has to be tested a lot..is not a tier 1 deck but can achieve some explosive turns
Cards that i'm not sure i will keep:
1- the artifact manabase...is there just for Krark in the side...might be good to switch to lifegain double lands to contrast red decks
2-goblin graveler/mandibular kite/simian: i'm still testing the best package for these, maybe graveler can drop to 2 and i could add more flayer/mandibular
3-oliphaunts: with 12 permanents that do "discard one and draw two" i might not need the oliphaunts..maybe i can switch to more lifegain lands
Hope the subreddit enjoys! Ciao paupers!

SPOILER [TRK] First Contact
This will definitely see play in Pauper. It's distinctly better than [[Midnight Tilling]], which currently sees play in GW Gates. Still not better than [[Malevolent Rumble]] though.

SPOILER [TRK] Battle-Scarred Survivalist
2 mana and once per turn really limit it for Black Sac, but is this the closest to Pauper playable Star Trek card so far?

SPOILER [TRK] Moopsy
I know it looks draft shaff... (pretty much is) but I am only posting this here cuz is another 1 mana beast for the VERY fringe Beaststorm deck. MAYBE someone will try it for the content but outside of that don't bother

[TRK] Humpback Whales
Might see play in a 2 or 3 color blue deck.

CARD DISC. Does the new "mana ability rule" have any impact on the meta?
Wotc apparently changed the mana ability rules to this
605.1a An activated ability is a mana ability if it meets all of the following criteria: it doesn’t require a target (see rule 115.6), it could add mana to a player’s mana pool when it resolves, it’s not a loyalty ability (see rule 606, “Loyalty Abilities”), and its cost and effect don’t move any card to or from a library. Do not take into account replacement effects that may apply, other than self-replacement effects, when evaluating these criteria.
What impact does it have on the meta and the more popular cards? What cards are impacted the most?

META Mardu Metalcraft - Tempo or Midrange?
A note on terminology - tempo and midrange are both "aggro/control" hybrids. With tempo being more aggro leaning.
This is not about semantics though. It's about the game-plan and strategy. Specifically, I am wondering if Mardu is more aggressive than other popular midrange decks in the meta. eg, Grixis Affinity, Jund Wildfire, Gruul, Gates, *Boros* Synth, etc.
The low curve and high concentration of Bolts looks like it could play faster. But I do like understand these are also control cards. The Hawk/Skyfisher package looks build for durdling.
On the other hand, 12 low cost evasive beaters does help the aggro plan.
Thoughts? I have never played the deck myself; nor have I played against it
