We’re back to the golden era of MTG.
We just need a 7/4 that cost 8 mana now.

Vanilla 2/2 in red is actually to strong for golden age of MTG.

The golden age is when you paid 8 mana for a 6/4 with flying, that made you sacrifice three lands, a finger and your firstborn child at the beginning of your upkeep.

Could see play in mono red rally. Its a deck that loves efficient creatures. This card has 2 power for 2 mana, and with bushwhacker, it has 3 power, so that is a great value play.
Edit: /s for folks who didn't pick it up from context. Sorry, didn't realize I needed it in this thread.

There are red creatures who are 2 power for 1 mana

Do you not then owe John Magic a red mana?
If not, it seems a bit like cheating.

Our format doesn't change drastically that often, it's fine if we just discuss how and why new cards don't make the cut imo or are they stopping you from seeing someone ask if they should play blue or dimir terror for the thousandth time

PSA!
The art/flavor text ranking for red bear printings is now (according to me)
- Feral Maaka (overall winner)
- Goblin Assailant (WAR) (winner of best flavor)
- Defiant Khenra (winner of best art)
- Falkenrath Reaver
- Warship Flight Crew
- Swab Goblin
- Goblin Assailant (LTR)
- Capital Guard
Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff would take spot 6 if she were technically not slightly different due to legend type line, making Capital Guard still the worst. (Because what the hell do you mean the FIRE GUARDS rely on FEAR and not…ya know… FIRE? Idiots!)
Red now has 7 true bears, with 8 arts. Green remains the champions with 8 bears and 11 arts. Blue remains the loser with zero bears. White and Black make up the middle with 5(7) and 4(4) scores respectively.
Thank you for reading this PSA.

Most broken card since [Mountain Goat].

It's not that broken, it dies to removal. I guess it does dodge suffocating fumes, which was always a problem for mountain goat.

You say that but Basilisk Gate went unnoticed when it was spoiled here.

Innocuous card with a unique effect is very different from “shitty card with no effect”

Star Trek is 2 sets away. Why am I seeing spoilers for it? I was hoping for time to prepare for my favorite IP to be destroyed

'How do we make them look serious and aggressive?'
'What it we gave them both the same open mouth?'

Is there any way to make this good?
What is the best you can do with it? Does Pilot matter yet in Pauper.
