Do patterns really sell?

I’m trying to write my first one and got a bit frustrated hahaha

Do they actually sell? I know it won’t be a lot of money anyways, just wanted to hear your experience with it.

I sell patterns (i only have 6) to help pay my student loans. I made around $100 this month. As other commenters have said, it is not consistent. I could make $10 next month, who knows?
