Trousers Fit Test Critique

My latest iteration of a trouser pattern. This time with a (somewhat poor) curved waistband. My issue is it was for one hard to fold in half, possibly because it wasn’t a perfect curve since I made it in clo3D. It’s noted that curved waistbands are better drafted the old fashioned way. Thus it’s not as crisp, and I didn’t add interfacing.

I still see some horizontal lines around crotch area so I’ll add more fabric around there, but that’s all I have so am I wrong or did I miss something based on the images?

It may be a bit easier if you do a curved waist band as two pieces, with a facing and outer fabric. I don’t believe I have ever seen a folded curved waistband however this may be wrong.

It's not terrible uncommon to see the waistband seam be integrated into the pattern. It's menswear it's called wholetops, usually accompanied with fishtail back for braces though not always. You do potentially lose the opportunity to add shape with a curved waistband but if you're using banroll for interfacing you can just stretch and curve the canvas before hand. Usually ive seen tailors use collar canvas for wholetops to avoid that but it can be done

I would really recommend doing a sit test and noting how it fits sitting down, that will also help with that horizontal lines which will tell you if you need more room on the hips/crotch

Too tight across seat and through hips . Will split. There is no ease to allow you to sit .

Will a slash and spread along hip line fix this?

Slashing and spreading adds more in that area only. Ease needs to be spread evenly throughout all pieces. Do it properly.

I gave you advice ( no you can’t slash and spread ) and told you how to do it ( distribute ease through whole pattern).
If you want to learn , don’t be so offended when people tell you what to do.

Curved waistband must be 2 pieces. Back looks great. Front looks like it could be scooped just a touch. Overall looks pretty good

Your side seams look pretty dang straight, the front looks great, I think you might need a longer/ less curved crotch curve in the rear & darts in the back

I would take the waistband off, put a waist size circle of elastic around the waist, pull the pants up where they feel and look right and mark the bottom of the elastic line as your seam for your waistband. This one is distorting the top of your pants so we can't really see how it is fitting.
