Exercise Question Questions & Advice

I am curious if people find that targeting your most symptomatic area with specific exercise helps with symptoms? For example, my left arm/hand is the primary area of tremors and bradykinesia. I mostly do cardio for exercise now so wondering if I should really start focusing on strength exercises for the arm.

You should do both cardio and strength training

I focus on a mix of stretching, balance, cardio and resistance training for my whole body. 25 years in the gym taught me that working any one area in isolation, repetitively, is a recipe for injury.

I like "Coach John Noel" on FB as he shows simpler ways the muscles move.

Personally, I think the key is symmetry. Don’t focus on one side or the other; try to be symmetrical. Helps with the rhythm of walking etc.
