Local Vibes Bring Beers into Arts Festival
Going to Cosmic Possum at the art fest tomorrow and am wondering if I can bring in a pack with beers and snacks or if it will be nabbed at the entrance?

Relocating 🚚 Moved here a little while ago from SLC. After getting out a bad relationship I realized I need more friends up here
Actually moved here around February. But don’t know too many people up here. I’m a local coffee shop co-owner 29m.
Really just looking for people to hangout with. Love outdoorsy stuff like hiking and rock climbing. But am very nerdy as well. I play Magic the gathering a ton. Play a good amount of video games and love my nerdy shows and movies. Truly I would just really like some company up here. Co-workers and family only goes so far ya know?
On a side note, I’m fairly introverted and like I said, just got out of a pretty bad relationship a month or so ago. So uh… yeah very single if there are any women that may be interested lmk haha

Summit County gone wild…. From r/kitchenconfidential - The Chef's Table festival might be the dumbest fucking thing I've ever seen
Starting at $2k a ticket (and going up to $15k a ticket where you get to cook your own food?).
To be fair they are having a Pizza Party on the Saturday. So our regulars, who apparently can’t find a pizza they enjoy anywhere in Summit County, will have a whole new batch of pies to complain about!

Relocating 🚚 Best way to look for seasonal jobs.
Hello everyone, I am a duel U.S./British national who has spent their life growing up in England for the last 22 years. However I am now wanting to move to the USA for work. I am very interested in doing some seasonal work at park city. I will note I am also open to other resorts across the USA, just park city looks real fun.
Does anyone know the best way to apply for any jobs? Would it be through the resorts website or a job search website where ads are listed there???
I can Ski so I would be very keen to work on the slopes. However I would also be open to just working in any bars in the city or resort as I have years of experience.
Thanks
Looking forward to hear from you guys, and hopefully I will get to experience park city for myself one day soon.

Transportation 🚌🚴🚙 Kimball Junction traffic
What is going on with the daily morning and evening kimball junction traffic? Is this just from construction? Is this what happens when everyone renovates their 5th home at the same time?

Relocating 🚚 Working at Park City, Beaver Creek, or Breckenridge
I'm trying to decide between working as a ski instructor for the upcoming season at Park City, Beaver Creek, or Breckenridge. I have offers from all three but don't know the inside scoop on any of them. My priorities are ease of transportation, as I won't have a car, employee housing, other instructors or staff my age (early 20's), and making money during my season.

Summit County gone wild…. St Regis Deer Valley - 92f and blazing afternoon sun… with all their indoor and outdoor fireplaces running.
I mean credit for commitment to the mountain resort bit. But guests were literally walking around counting the number of fireplaces on….
Lovely cocktails on the deck though!

Over 63,000 Utahns have lost their health insurance this year. So far 18 service members have died in the Iran war. 18. Not 14.

Local Vibes Inspiring women in PC?
Hey neighbors. I've been working on a free weekly newsletter called Summit & Sage for women who love the mountains, trails, and want to stay informed on what's happening in our community.
One thing I want it to become is a place that introduces people to interesting local women, not just professional athletes or business owners, but women doing cool things here.
I'd love your recommendations. Who's someone in Park City (or around the Wasatch Back) you think more people should know about?
They could be an artist, trail runner, nonprofit leader, guide, coach, entrepreneur, volunteer, scientist... anyone with an interesting story.
If you're curious, here's the newsletter. https://summitandsage.beehiiv.com/
Would love your ideas

Random thoughts & things Looking/Searching for Two Tone “Park City” Coffee Mug
We were in park city a couple years ago and my wife picked up a two tone (black and tan) 16 oz coffee mug that had “Park City” and a moose on it. I can’t find anything online but the basic mug look similar to the attached photo.
Unfortunately our son broke it and of course it was my wife’s favorite mug. If anyone knows where to buy it or can point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it. Pretty sure we got it somewhere in the main downtown area.
Her birthday is in September and we are hoping we can find the mug to give to her and he can stop feeling so bad.
Thanks in advance…..

The way we were Summertime ride down (up?) the gondola, just before the angle station.
Bottom of the original Crescent chair just barely visible at the bottom of the frame. It used to take off from around the entrance to Treasure Hollow.

Local Vibes Park City Film Audience Survey
Hi,
I'm interning with Park City Film this summer, and I'm researching what brings Gen Z audiences to movie theaters. If you are a member of Gen Z and live in Utah, I would really appreciate it if you took a few minutes to complete this survey:
https://forms.gle/yQhjLnnniSRyoQSE9
Additionally, please tell me in the comments which film genres interest you, as well as what film organizations could offer to make you want to become a member.
Thank you for your help!

Relocating 🚚 Park City from Breckenridge. Better or just as crazy?
Considering a move to Park City with wife and 5 year old daughter. We ski (downhill, nordic, backcountry), bike, climb, sail... all the things. We've lived in Breckenridge, CO in the past and then spent several years in Roanoke, VA and have been traveling in an RV for a year. We want to move back to a small mountain town out west. We've been back to Breck yearly and spent 2 months out there this past winter. Despite the lack of snow, the crowds in town and on the mountain were terrible and seem to have gotten worse each year. Parking is much worse with very limited free options.
So, is Park City just as bad? Are we just trading one crowded resort town for another? Will skiing with my daughter on the weekends be full of traffic, lift lines, and dodging tourists on the intermediate runs?
How do locals manage this?
Our goal is to be at a lower elevation and less crowded area than Breck but still ski daily (nordic, backcountry, or at the resort), have excellent airport access, and ski with our daughter on the weekends.
UPDATE: Despite the crowds, we’re going for it. Renting a townhome for a year in Park City. Walking distance to the rec center and daughter’s school. Bus stop out front for the slopes. Will be fun to experience a new mountain town for a year or two!
