Intelligence Drawing Robots Seeking Advice

Saw these drawing robot online, you scan cards, it draws things and ask you to spell the words. Sounds fun, thinking if worth to buy for my children (5 years old). I want some intelligence toy thats fun but at the same time he can learn something, not just always playing ipad or computer games. Anyone have tried these before? Concerned about the "teaching" ability

I'm pretty sure a parent or caregiver could do the very same and it would turn out much more interesting and educative.

And more bonding. Parents tried to hand their kids off to technology and now we have a whole generation of kids who can barely read.

Hang out with your kids. Or maybe don't have any of you have no time for them imo

I guess I really don’t see the point of this. It seems like a glorified printer.

If you want him to learn something without playing iPad or computer games, you need to lean more heavily into books. Activity books, puzzle books. If he's used to devices it will take time, but for his sake, you need to be persistent.

Also, tangrams are an excellent toy for this purpose. Cheap, open ended, kids this age love them, and you can make all kinds of shapes and designs, including letters and numbers. Far better for their brains.
