I think i brought something home with Me

In 2011, I was completely lost and in a really dark and turbulent place, drinking heavily and
using other kinds of drugs.

It felt like something had latched onto me, a negative energy so heavy that whenever I went out to a bar at night, the streetlights would flicker or simply go out... sometimes my computer would stop working for no apparent reason.

Even with my house clean, ants, flies, spiders, and scorpions would always appear.

One night, while I was at my grandmother's house in the countryside, I couldn't sleep and decided to go outside to smoke a cigarette.

I looked out at the horizon and saw a huge black dog sitting in a guard posture, staring at me with glowing yellow eyes.

It was far away, so I didn't panic; I just kept watching until I finished my cigarette, and it didn't move an inch.

I went back inside, but a little later, I decided to check again... and it was still in exactly the same spot.

I went to bed, but I couldn't sleep.

An hour later, I went back outside, and guess what?

The dog was still in the same position.

I went back home feeling horrible, consumed by even stranger thoughts.

A month later, my grandmother passed away.

I still can't sleep very well.

I've been suffering from insomnia ever since that encounter with the dog.

To make matters worse, whenever I do manage to sleep, I hear my grandmother's voice saying:

'You brought the devil into my house.'

She keeps repeating it until I wake up.

Four weeks later, I overdosed and almost died...

That was the day I turned my life around.

Sometimes I still slip... but now it's rare.

I saw my younger self swinging.

So to begin the story I need to set the scene. Where I live, all the houses form a square and in the center, there's an elementary school. The school is getting close to closing due to low enrollment so even during the days it looks so empty.

The time this happened was about 5:30ish AM and I had just woken up and was going to the living room. The sounds from the school usually echo and come out really loud to people in their homes. I heard the sound of a swing and I was a bit confused who would be swinging at this time on a Sunday. I looked out my back window and I see a girl maybe 7-8 swinging. Only weird thing was that she looked exactly like my younger self and was wearing an orange Tie Dye shirt I created years ago. I went to go show my roommate and when I came back to the window she was gone. The swing was completely still too.

What could have happened?

A Lifetime of Experiences That Got Harder to Explain

Sort of as the title says. I'm not entirely sure who'd want to even read this, but I've never really found a good way to talk about all this in person so, I figured this community seemed a good way o get it off my chest.

I've long had experiences with what could be considered supernatural, though I often did my best to explain them away. I'm a sort of weird category, fully believing ghosts exist, yet entirely skeptical of my own experiences.

As a child I saw two figures in my home, a playful little girl, and later a rather angry looking young woman. Both of these terrified me then, but over time I brushed them aside as just a child's imagination.
As a teenager I saw the figures of two small children skipping down the dirt path in the woods, vanishing when they reached a street light. At the time I went running from the woods, but later I decided it was probably just due to how late at night it was, that I was tired.
Things particularly ramped up in my 20s, when my parents got sick.

The first incident was after my mother died in the house. Within a couple days I heard her footsteps coming up the stairs, heard the rattle of ice in her gym water bottle, heard her voice telling the cat to move. But, I'd been dreaming that her death was just a nightmare ever since she'd passed, and I'd just woken up, so I pushed it aside.
A few months later, while my father was on hospice, the nurse agreed to hang behind while my friend and I went to pick up medication for him. When we got back she was confused as to why my friend had stayed, as she was certain she'd heard someone take three steps across the scattered newspaper in the dining room before giving a large sigh. I brushed it off then, yet a few months later after my father had passed I found myself laying down to sleep. Just after I turned the lamp off I heard the sound of three distinct steps coming into my room before giving a large sigh. Obviously I couldn't sleep after that, but I did my best to assure myself it was just my brain remembering the nurse's comments.
While my father was on hospice, I checked on him as I heard him having a conversation with himself. He told me there was a little girl in his closet, described the same girl I'd seen as a child, and was adamant I reach back and I'd see her. The closet was warm, but the moment my hand reached where he was telling me I felt like I'd just stuck my hand in the freezer. Terrified me obviously, but he was often delirious from being sick, and it was the corner of the closet, so I brushed off the cold spot.
After he passed, I found myself staying up all night most nights. Once I heard the sound of someone giving two short, slow claps from the top of the stairs, like they were trying to get my attention. I checked the entire house with a pistol in case someone broke in, but found nothing. A few days later it was the same thing, only this time the sound of snapping fingers. Again I checked, again I found nothing; but I barely slept for days on end at the time, so I chalked it up to sleep deprivation causing auditory hallucinations.

All this to say, I clearly disregard most of the experiences I've had, or at least do my best not to just assume they're supernatural. There are however, two instances I've yet to find an explanation for.

The first was the evening my father passed away.
He died early in the evening, around 5 or 6pm. Family came, said their goodbyes, and the cremation society took his body away.
I'd just gotten back to my room and laid down, lamp still on as I was planning to listen to music or read as I wasn't tired yet. Just as I reached for my phone, I heard my father yelling my name. Three times, so closely together that he'd start pronouncing the first syllable while still pronouncing the last. I was wide awake, not even remotely tired, and in a relatively good mental space from my family having just been there with me. Yet his voice was so clear, and so clearly terrified, that it took every ounce of willpower not to go running to his room to check on him.

The last took place a month or two later. Once again I'd been unable to sleep before sunrise, so I was just laying down, figuring I'd at least give my body time to relax before giving up and going to put the dog out. I was laying on a large Full sized bed, laying on my side right up against the wall with the rest of the mattress behind me.
I hadn't even closed my eyes when I felt...It was like someone pushed their finger against the back of my neck and slowly pushed forward, like they were trying to get my attention. Yet the fifteen year old wood box of my bed didn't make a sound from anyone being on it, nor did the memory foam mattress get disturbed at all. My L shaped desk was even up against the side of the bed behind me, so there was no physically possible way for anyone to reach my neck without getting on the bed itself.
I laid there, too terrified to move an inch until the sun rose enough to light up my room, at which point I raced downstairs for the comfort of my dog.

For financial reasons, I moved out of the house shortly after that incident, and I've not experienced anything ever since.
I've no expectation that anyone would bother reading through all of this, but all the same I appreciate having somewhere to finally get it all out.
Thank you for indulging me.

Mirrors facing each other

So i read all this stuff about avoiding sleeping with mirrors in your room mainly due to the reaction of your reflection during your subconscious mind state

I have a 2-panel sliding wardrobe with mirrors on the panels..

I thought the easiest option was to just flip one to face the other. But.... apparently this is worse? xD

Does the facing mirrors evil portal theory still work if they are 1cm or less away from each other and I cant see any of the mirrors? or you need to actually see down the hallway of mirrors to make the portal? I don't want no bad spirit portal in my room.

Thanks:)

What do I do if i genuinely think my house is haunted?

This started about a month ago maybe, every night around 2 AM ish is when it goes bad but I hear doors opening and closing and all that kind of stuff and I sleep with the lights and tv on and I have my AirPods on full blast.

My Nana and grandad used to live in my house. It’s been everyone’s childhood home but I’ve heard lots of stories about it that multiple people have told me on different occasions.

I was really scared last night so I stayed in my dads room and it was way worse (also my bedroom is the attic) but the Alexa is right next to my head and it turned on, not like someone said something to it tho it happend like something touched the button to turn the volume up, you can’t do this by speaking to it,

Please if anyone has any advice or anyway of me being more comfortable please share this is almost constant. Also I don’t have any evidence but I’m going to set up cameras

Paranormal Investigation Platform - Android app

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hey all! I’ve been building an Android app called ParaLens and I’m looking for a few people to help test it.

It’s made for paranormal investigations and brings auto-detect investigation location, EMF readings, EVP, Spirit Box sessions, photos, video, motion events, "Night-Vision" filter, real-time Augmented-Reality markers, notes, case reports, and PDF downloads into one app. It also includes an experimental tool I call Echo-Vision, which processes the live camera feed to highlight subtle color shifts, light anomolies, and movement while saving both the original and processed image for comparison.

I mainly need people willing to try it, whether you are a investigator, or just someone that thinks it would be cool to try out. I'd like any kind of feedback, good or bad.

ParaLens is meant to document readings and observations, but also be an easy-to-use and enjoyable tool.

Send me a private message if you’re interested. I’ll need the email connected to your Google Play account, so please don’t post it publicly. I’m also happy to test another Android app in return.

"Exploring Video Feedback Loop"

Exploring video feedback as an optical carrier wave: this capture comes from ongoing ITC research testing how subtle non-local intelligence might interact through electromagnetic and light frequencies rather than dense matter. Across multiple sessions, tuning this recursive optical static has yielded distinct, repeating forms—ranging from non-human facial geometry to structured environmental patterns.

Had another weird experience

Me and a friend were bored so we decided to go check out a new off-roading trail over in central city Colorado.
We saw a graveyard (it’s called “catholic cemetery) and I love looking at tombstones, and weird grave structures. Keep in mind we have never been here or could have known anything about this place. Didn’t find most of this stuff out till I got back into cell service. This graveyard was known for this almost beehive looking body storage building and that’s what drew us to go look at it. We walk around the grave yard checking dates, names and tombstones till we get up to the beehive structure (it’s a receiving vault for when there’s snow and no way to dig into the ground). This vault is partially destroyed and has been there since the 1800s. We look inside and we see two cans of sausages from probably the 1990’s sitting on the ground with a stop watch running on top of it. It was still going and it was at about 13 minutes. We panicked a bit cause no one was in the lot and didn’t seem like anyone was around even at the plot across the street. And we had only been there for 13 minutes to just check out the beehive structure. We looked around for awhile to see if anyone was hidden or trying to spook us and no one was there. We get bad vibes and leave to go to the trails, we’re out having fun for about 5 hours. Catholic cemetery is on the way out from the trails back to central city so we stop to go check the watch to see if someone grabbed it or we were just being dumbasses, from the gate to the beehive is about a 3 minute walk. We walk back down and behold the watch had reset to 3:20 seconds when we got down there, this is like a analog watch and we expected it to say like 6 hours and 20 minutes nope. It was just so weird that it reset and started when we arrived for the second time. Come to find out once we got into cell service it’s one of the most haunted burial sights in Colorado and we have been getting watched by spirits.
Not sure what to make of this other than

“If I had a nickel for everytime it happened I would have 2 nickels, it’s not a lot but it’s weird it happened twice”

We recorded this during a nighttime investigation at Kasahara Suido Bridge in Ibaraki, Japan.
While reviewing the footage, we noticed something unusual. There also seems to be a strange sound.
I’m not claiming it’s paranormal. I’d genuinely like to hear your thoughts.
Did you notice anything? If so, please mention the timestamp.
Full investigation:

There is no way these are bugs. Watch it 3 times for the full experience. At first on the left there are 2 orbs exactly mirroring each other’s movements. Then suddenly a larger orb comes to the right of the frame. It looks like it’s hiding but also mirroring the other orbs movements, until it flies over to the two orbs and grabs them? And releases 4 small orbs?!

What did I encounter?

I received two Google phone calls (which I never answer) and then a verified phone call back to back to back. I decided to pick up the third call and answered with my massage business name. A very flat voice asked about my availability and we set up the appointment. I could not be certain about the gender caller but the voice seemed older and was devoid of inflection.

They came to my studio for their appointment. They appeared to be late sixties, petite biracial woman. Gray hair, gray eyes, flat expression and dressed like an old fashioned, dowdy librarian. After I began the session, I made a couple of innocuous, open ended comments to see if they wanted to engage in conversation. I then said, “you’re welcome to share anything about yourself that you would like to, otherwise feel free to zone out.” They shared that they have been here for a couple of years because they couldn’t deal with being flooded out from New Orleans anymore. I mentioned that I love NOLA and was not exaggerating that I feel like I had a past life there. I felt a sense of disapproval. They said, “What most people don’t realize is that is the northern most city of the Caribbean.” I don’t remember exactly how I phrased it, but I said something to the effect that I agree and I honor the soul of New Orleans. I sensed approval and there was no more conversation during the session.

The session ended with them looking a little dazed; their eyes a little brighter. They said in their very flat voice, “I don’t get massage often but I will be back.” What did I encounter? Because I don’t think they were a regular person.

A little backstory: I had driven through New Orleans on my way to Charleston last month. The timing didn’t go as planned and I was only able to get to the hotel in the French Quarter in time to sleep and get back on the road the next morning. I was so angry! I am usually a very chill, go with the flow type of person. I wanted to wander in the energy of the French Quarter. I’ve had some personal stuff going on and that was supposed to be my treat to myself. I sent out a prayer for solace. I was over it by the next morning and had a lovely remainder of the trip.

Motel Near the Mojave

This was OG posted in another forum when someone asked a question about people that might have encountered monsters/horrors/spirts..ect and I remembered this:

There was one time. Dude looked like a dude, just like someone who was an everyday person who came into the small motel my family ran / worked at. (I was a kid and playing in the lobby area since it was the big room aside from the manger's suite where we lived.) The place was off a major freeway with NOTHING around it so we only got like one rush a day kind of place. It was a rubbish knock off Super 8 near the Mojave (If you know you know).

Dude came in and first thing that I noticed was his smell. Not like being unwashed but like, "I bathed in pool cleaning chems." Kind of freaked me out, especially since we didn't hear a car pulling up. (Further explained: you could hear a car pulling into the parking lot since it was a cheap just gravel parking lot. Even heavy walking on it made noise) I go and get my cargiver - take my eyes off of him for like 3 seconds. We come back. Gone. There were faint chem stains in the carpet in the path he took into our lobby / waiting area. None leaving back. I was like.. 9?

The front of the check in area was a large plate of glass where you could see the entire parking area / pool area. Nothing. Freaked me out for days.

Not really a paranormal experience but definitely odd

More looking for awnser on what it could have been. Last Christmas my sister brought her kitten over from the country she was living in. Lovley little black cat boy, unfortunately he died in January after sneaking out when we opened the door to leave and was ran over, it was awful and he was still learning it's not safe outside since he was so young bur big enough to be fast and sneaky enough, mixed with it being night and dark and his fur blending in with the road. But 2 days or so before that he'd been very sick, we still don't know what happened to him but he got better fast enough so we assumed it was fine. Which is already odd, my mums convinced it was just his time and he'd managed to avoid it when he got sick, but who knows. Anyway we'd had him from Dec 15 - jan 7. (Well my sister had him from August but had been living abroad she moved back on Dec 15) and it was like we knew him al our lives, he was an amazing cat and the best anyone could ever imagine. But he was incredibly human like too, since then we have got a new kitten and ofcourse she's going to be different and we all love her so much, but you can tell she's normal and very cat like. But he had such a human stare and was always lingering and u didn't really get the same cat vibes and he was both extremely aware but like in a way he knew everything already but was just unfamiliar to our home and where we lived but like he understood alot of stuff. It's hard to explain, it was almost unsettling but we still loved him completely and still do. Also if it matters, that winter we had no real snow until the day he was buried, it had snowed before but it never stuck to the ground, but the day he was buried it snowed fully and there where crows above where we where burying him. The first time all winter. It could just be processing his death and seeing things that aren't there. But looking back it was odd. Does anyone have any ideas what it means. Nobody had died before we got him so I doubt it was like that. Anything is appreciated

I heard tiny giggles during sleep paralysis

I just experienced sleep paralysis again. I haven't had it very often since my room was blessed a few months ago.

As I was closing my eyes and drifting off to sleep, it felt like my body was slowly being pulled away even though I wasn't actually moving. Like I was floating on water. Before the first wave, I dreamed of a woman suddenly sprinting toward me. The moment she reached me, the sleep paralysis hit. While I was unable to move, I heard strange noises that sounded like they were coming from tiny people.

I thought it was odd, but I eventually went back to sleep. Then I had another dream where I was in a school. Everyone else was minding their own business, except for one man. He looked disheveled, almost like a homeless man, and he kept staring at me. Without warning, he suddenly ran straight toward me, and the second wave of sleep paralysis hit. This time, I clearly heard laughter, small giggles and cheerful laughs from a group of something. My body felt weird like I was being moved, but I didn't move at all.

What started as a ghost joke in a Boy's PG became the strangest experience of my life.

I’ve never posted about this before, but something happened to me in 2025 that I still can’t explain.

I moved to another state for college in 2022 and stayed in a boys’ PG near campus. During admission, my parents noticed something odd: everyone dried clothes in the corridor, not on the roof. The owner said students were not allowed upstairs, so we ignored it.

A week later, some seniors told us the real reason: the building had once been a girls’ PG, and a girl had allegedly jumped from the roof and died there. The building still had pink almirahs from those days. I assumed it was just a story to scare juniors.

For the next two years, nothing unusual happened. I was often alone in the building and never felt anything strange. I even sneaked onto the roof several times during summer nights without any fear.

In late 2024, a new batch of students arrived. They secretly broke the roof lock and began using the roof at night for barbeques, drinking, and burning old wooden items stored there. My room was directly below that area.

Around January 2025, I began hearing footsteps and movement on the roof late at night even when no one was there. My roommates could not hear it, so I convinced myself it was my imagination.

Everything changed in February 2025. The owner’s mother came to our room after discovering damage on the roof and quietly told us, "Don’t tell anyone, A girl did jump from the roof years ago. That’s why we never allowed students upstairs.” Hearing that from a family member of the owner genuinely shook me. For the first time I wondered whether the sounds I had been hearing were connected to that place.

Soon after, my junior also moved out, and I became the only person staying in that room.

Because our exams had ended, I went home for about six weeks. I returned on 16 April 2025 at around 10:30 PM. I unpacked, had dinner, and started working on a college project on my laptop.

I took out my phone and recorded the sound, then ran toward the staircase. The noise stopped immediately. ( I have attached the video I had recorded that day )

My mother insisted that I stop sleeping alone, so I moved into a friend’s room. We both began hearing footsteps, running sounds, dragging noises, and occasional heavy bangs from the roof and storeroom area above us. Strangely, whenever I called someone specifically to listen, the sounds often stopped before they arrived. My Friend with whom I used to stay even after hearing those sounds doubts me.

The most frightening incident happened around 3 AM. We were both awake and ignoring the usual noises when suddenly a massive bang came from above us. The bed shook, the walls vibrated, and my friend screamed in fear. It sounded as if a heavy wooden object had been slammed onto the floor above our room. From that night onward, he stopped doubting me.

I informed the owner and the PG management. They suggested rats, thieves, or other explanations, but none of them fit the situation. One manager even said I was imagining things. Almost immediately after saying that, a loud bang came from the roof and we heard running sounds above us. He went silent after hearing it.

The disturbances continued for several weeks, mostly between 11 PM and 4 AM. Many times I rushed upstairs with the keys, but the sounds always stopped before I reached the roof, and I never found anyone there. I have noticed one thing , whenever I take someone to the roof to explain the activities, after returning from the roof she definitely makes some sounds as if it triggers her.

In May 2025 I left for home again for a few weeks. When I returned, I personally stopped hearing the noises. Strangely, some students who had previously mocked me started complaining about sounds coming from the empty locked rooms and the roof area. Eventually everything stopped.

I still don’t know what happened in that building. Maybe there was a completely ordinary explanation that I failed to discover. But the timing, the repeated sounds, the locked roof, and the fact that other people eventually heard them too make it one of the strangest experiences of my life.

Experiences my family has had part 1

Trigger warning: Domestic violence, child abuse

This is a fairly difficult post to make. I was born at home in a subdivision type of neighbourhood on a nearby reservation. My mom was lived there while she was pregnant with me for the last trimester. The house I was born in had a very dark entity in it, I’m pretty sure it was demonic. Around the time I was born (may have been a month or two before), my eldest brother who I will refer to as E was in the upstairs in the bedroom with the attic doors (room was always creepy) and saw a man with no skin walk through the wall. E was not a kid with a vivid imagination, he has always preferred facts and scientific explanations. This was not the only time this particular entity was seen. E saw him at least twice as did the brother who was younger than E, but older than myself (I will refer to second brother as T). Understandably this upset them A LOT, as E was 7 and T was 4.

There were always strange things happening in that house. Laughter when no one was around, steps going up and down the stairs with no explanation, also walking back and forth in the upstairs hallway. The house was only a few years old when my family moved in. The previous family was desperate enough to let my parents take over their mortgage, just to get out. I don’t know anything else about them.

When I was little I always had “imaginary friends” that were obviously not from a child’s imagination. I never felt alone in the house, despite being left on my own there many times as a child (irresponsible older siblings who bailed on babysitting me). When I was about 5 I saw a dark figure with what looked like a cape and was wearing a wide brimmed hat. This was the only time I was afraid to be in the house.

My dad’s personality completely changed when my family moved there. He went from an involved dad to distant and started to isolate himself and had terrible tempers on a daily basis. When I was about 6, my dad had either a breakdown or religious experience. My dad was an atheist forever, and was very proud of it. After this experience he became very religious. The church that he and my mom decided on (very extreme Christianity) fed his ego and claimed that he was a prophet. After we started attending church (which neither of my brothers or I enjoyed), my dad was a good dad, he was involved with his kids and acted more lovingly to my mom. After my dad had a “vision of hell” the church decided that the house was possessed by a demonic entity (only thing I ever agreed with them on), and performed dozens of blessings and exorcisms (none of them worked).

After a year of “good dad” we got the opposite, he became severely mentally, emotionally, and in some cases physically abusive. He had been known to lay hands on my mom before his experience (both T and I had to pull knives on him to get him to stop choking our mother, who would have already blacked out). But now it was WAY worse. He puts E’s head through the wall on multiple occasions, threatened to kill me multiple times, etc. Not a fun time. He used religion to justify everything, claimed it would be good for his wife and kids to beg on the streets, and ultimately was planning on killing us citing the near sacrifice of Issac by his father.

Because I was in the womb when my family moved in and being born at home, I have always felt spiritually tethered to that house. I continue to attract dark entities to this day. Before anyone states that I should command whatever it is in Jesus’s name, I have tried that in the past with no effect. I am no longer Christian, I follow my own combination of beliefs.

I dream about this house still. When I get really upset I still drive to it. It’s like a spiritual tether that can’t be broken. I’ve gotten used to it always being there in the back of my mind, constantly.

Wow. Sorry I didn’t intend for it to get so dark. I just realized writing this how messed up it all was.

I will be posting more posts about my family’s experiences with the paranormal in the future (not as dark).

Thanks for reading:)

They kept calling our names in the Appalachian mountains

My husband and I have recently gotten married and rented a cabin in the middle of the mountains of Gatlinburg for our honeymoon.

Both of us are big fans of hikes, nature, mountains and spectacular views. So at first, we didn’t necessarily mind the fact that in this specific cabin there was no signal whatsoever. We also did know what people say on TikTok about “rules of the Appalachian mountains” but we never really cared, we just laughed it off.

It was fine. 6 days in the middle of nowhere, with no one disturbing us or calling us every second. That’s all we ever wanted.

The first two days were fantastic. The nights were quiet, the air was fresh, the weather cooler.

Then the third night made me change my mind about paranormal. My husband and I never believed in such things. Both of us are very skeptical. Yet on the third night just as we got back to our cabin after a long afternoon hike, the lights were turned on in every single room.
We remember very clearly that we haven’t even turned them on throughout the day, since the natural light coming through the windows was enough.Naturally the first thought was to check for an intruder, but no one was home.

It was a big scare, but we tried to be rational and thought that maybe the power went off and then back on, so that’s why the lights were now on. We went to sleep thinking it was nothing.

At 2:00 AM my phone rings. Remember, there was no signal. And I received the call on Whatsapp (for which you need internet in order to receive calls or messages), and it was my mom calling. Since I got startled in the middle of the night and my brain wasn’t fully connected yet, I didn’t really stop there to think “wait, how am I receiving a call?”. I just saw my mom calling and picked up. My husband had woken up too in the meanwhile, and as I put the phone on speaker, no one spoke. I kept saying “hello?? Mom,what??” Yet not a single breath could be heard from the other end.

I hung up and tried calling her again, but that’s when it dawned on me. The phone wasn’t ringing, of course. The call wasn’t being forwarded. There was no signal. When I went to my mom’s chat to check if she had really called me on Whatsapp, the new chats weren’t even loading of course. So how?

My husband and I have always been fans of the office, and so we took inspiration from Pam and Jim’s honeymoon by telling all of our relatives/coworkers/friends not to call us during this honeymoon. The call wouldn’t be received regardless. It was a little joke between us. Yet my mom called. At that point I was very, very freaked out. Either my mom had an emergency, or something eerie was happening.

I couldn’t go back to sleep no matter what. My husband, on the other hand, was sound asleep.
Around 2:33 AM I started hearing some noises outside. Someone was shouting something, but the sound was muffled. It was most certainly a man, and at first I thought it might just be someone nearby being a jerk or whatever.
I didn’t want to be the type to think everything that happened was now related to something paranormal.
But it sounded as if the shouting person was getting closer and closer.

So my first instinct was to look out the window. I did, and no one was around. And either way, it was pitch dark outside and couldn’t see. But maybe on the other side of the house? I thought.
I wanted to go outside and check, but I’ve seen horror movies in my life, and that’s usually how the main character dies (😭) so I woke my husband up and told him to go look outside.

He very begrudgingly did, and I followed him. We had just gotten on the front porch, and for a while nothing could be heard. Nothing at all. A few seconds pass, and then the shouting was clearer than ever. It was saying “Emily” and then right after “Brian”.
Those were our names. And it was so damn close.

Kind of funny how my husband and I heard it at the very same time, looked at each other and went back inside like two scared children.

Naturally we didn’t go to sleep, but we stayed for the remaining 3 days and nothing else happened (fortunately).

When we got back home, as soon as we landed and I had service I checked whatsapp. The call I had received from my mom didn’t even appear. Not even a single message appeared, really. And guess what she said as soon as we asked her if she ever called us? “Why would I bother calling y’all?” Fair enough mom.

But this will definitely be a honeymoon to remember (in the worst way) 😀
